Old Salty's in Glasgow City

Husband and I came in for a quick bite and were amazed at the decor. It's very industrial with many different textures and just very cool looking. Server Robbie was amazing, attentive and nice. Food and drinks were pretty good. I had a macaroni and cheese pie w/ fries and my husband had the 6oz burger w/ fries. Everything came out in a timely manner. Thanks!

Nice set up on street corner with some covered outside seating. Lovely upstairs dining area. Service very good and great fish and chips. Nice indeed. Probably better to park further away as very busy near restaurant. But should get parked a short walk away.

Battered haddock was the only item we ordered and it was a little bit too oily but overall pretty good! The waitresses were friendly and helpful. Decorations inside the restaurant are on point, love it! I’d come back and try some of their other food off their menu.

A real step above your average chip shop and in such a great way. Extensive fish and chip shop style menu with cut above offerings like a lobster supper, nice! Stylish décor, warm and comfortable. Loads of outdoor seating too. Great place for casual dining.

We had brunch here when we first arrived in Glasgow and were so impressed we came back before we got the flight home! Friendly staff, prompt service and the food was excellent. Particularly recommend the bacon and they black pudding.

In all my years I have never had such unexpected delight as when I wandered into Old Salty's. The staff are extremely polite, lovely and the food is excellent. For a lovely lunch for 2 with lattes for about £13. I havent found a place in Glasgow that has given such great vibes.

Loved this place. An upmarket licensed traditional fish and chip restaurant and takeaway. Staff were extremely helpful and food was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Nice place with friendly staff. The vegan fry-up was delicious, and I appreciated that it walked the line between nutritious (spinach and avocado) but also indulgent (2 tattie scones and 2 hash browns!). Perhaps leave the dairy butter out next time though, and get in a vegan substitute ;)

Fish and chips here was excellent. Nice and crisp batter, nothing soggy going on. I had the pasta and smoked haddock. It was a little rich maybe for my taste but you don't find that combo on menus. Glad I tried it. Am now inspired to make it at home with creme fraiche

Fish and chips, perfect batter and very fresh fish. Good portion. We got the large half lobster, good size and cooked beautifully, very juicy and fresh. Extra points for presentation.Good friendly service.The ice cream was also good.
