Philadelphia Fish & Chicken Bar in Glasgow City

Ordered a delivery and only half of the food turned up, rude on the phone offered no help. Would not even send there mistake missed food in a taxi that would cost less than a fiver.... Order somewhere else so you don't end up paying for stuff that will never arrive

Rude and condescending staff. I asked a simple question, if the chips were cooked in vegetable oil and was publicly mocked by staff members. Not acceptable in 2021.

1st class chippy. The only chippy I really go to. I live no where near it but when I find myself in the area I treat myself. You could definitely do a lot worse things in this life of ours. The whole area around it I find very relaxing.

If you enjoy chipy chips or whatever supper person you seem to be, then this is your place. Everything is deep fried to your teast. Due pandemic conceners last visit was wait and half outside Longside with few other eager costumers. I though small portion of chips was to lengthy of wait. In result of pure miscommunication the male workers didn't seem to inform or didn't even bother to step out to notifying for order collection. Felt annoyed with the service a little bit but i really enjoyed my chips.

Went inside to order and nobody had masks, gloves or other PPE on. They were continuously picking at their faces and one of them coughed into their bare hand before handling my food. Absolutely disgusting and I'll never be back.

Fish 7/10, chips 6/10, curry sauce 2/10 (far too watery). Staff very nice and friendly but it's no west coast chippy. Pretty average.

Loved this chippy for years. High standards never slip. Delicious chippy food. Yum. Don't use Just Eat, their delivery drivers have a habit of not showing up for work. Tired of ordering delivery and then it gets cancelled.

Purchase made at 9:15pm on a Monday night. Unfortunately the fish was soggy, chips could have benefited from slightly longer fried, and seasoning was almost not present. A miss on most points. Positive was the fish tasted fresh.

In my view the number one choice for traditional fish and chips in Glasgow's West End. The staff have decades of experience and it shows. Superb batter and very good fish. Chips also just right. I can't fault this Kelvinbridge institution.

Seems really popular but the fish and chips I got was a bit cold and had to be microwaved after the 5 min journey back to the flat. It was the evening and they seem to cater for kids at lunch. Might try it again but not so good the first time.
