Saramago Cafe at the CCA in Glasgow City

Ageism/hearing problem discrimination sadly. DJ would not turn his WOnDERFul music down for my friends and l, all over 50. Was in the Duck last night and hearing each other was not an issue; other pubs in Glasgow... not an issue. He explained to me that downstairs was quieter and gave me an explanation of the venue's layout. Thanks mate, been coming here for 20yrs.. possibly not for much longer however... just wanted to hear my pals and it's not a night club.

Beautiful, calm space, with excellent food and great service. A lovely place for a solo dinner with a book.

Saramago is such a lovely place, the waitress named Sara was so polite and super accommodating. I would definitely come back for the good service.

Amazing place - easily one of the best meals I've had ever! The mushroom soup and tofu wrap were to die for :) our waitress, Sara, was lovely - very friendly and attentive!

It has been almost 6 months since my visit to Scotland and I can still remember my meal at Saramago... Not only one of the best meals in Glasgow but one of the best vegan meals I have ever had. Layered flavors with inventive pairings made this meal a stand out on anyone’s trip. Almost all the tables were booked in advance, not having reservations still allowed us to enjoy a meal until the next reservation for our table began. We also sat for the theater prices special. It’s priced incredibly well with huge portions that would almost be enough food for 2. The cocktails are not to be missed and they have a few local beers on tap that were highly enjoyable.

The Saramango Cafe Bar is located inside the CCA (Centre for Contemporary Arts.)This is a vegetarian cafe with vegan options. The food is delicious. I tried the mezzo platter to share & the courgette fritters were my favourite! So good!We tried the brownie which is like a hug for your insides!

We love this place! The food is fresh and delicious. The staff will work with you to accommodate your dietary tastes needs. And, they are lovely people. As whole food/plant based people, it is our number one place to eat in Glasgow. The environment is inspiring to say the least, as it is at the Center for Contemporary Arts. Love it.

The best place to meet to discuss business or academic matters or celebrate birthday with a group of friends. Great food and the friendliest staff. My first choice to pick up to meet with friends or as a place to gather thoughts before or after important meeting. Truly relaxing and the best wifi in town. You can't beat its soup+sandwich deal. Great wines too.

It’s a shame that it took almost an hour for our food. It tasted delicious and the ingredients were top-notch to be fair!Other than that, the entire place felt a bit pretentious. We did not understand half of the words on the menu. Maybe because we are uneducated plebs.Staff is colder than the Glaswegian weather.
