Gosh where do I start, been once and adore the place, I will absolutely be back. The seafood was amazing.Such a welcoming and cosy restaurant, so much to look at and enjoy.Service was impeccable, not alot else I can say there, everyone who served us was very professional and welcoming, happy to help.Foooood glorious food... !To start we both had the wood pigeon and skurli, first time I ever had either of these and it was just delicious, sauce with it was, I think red wine and red berry jus, it was a really great sauce for the wood pigeon.Main was the scallops with North Atlantic King prawns, Stornoway Black pudding, smoked salmon and fish sauce. Mmm every part of the main was incredibly well cooked with amazing flavours. The prawns were huge and delicious. To finish off we toyed with the dessert collection but decided in the end to have one each. My partner had the chocolate gateaux with white chocolate ice cream - so rich and strong in flavour clearly enjoyed judging by the empty plate st the end. I chose the tablet cheesecake and swapped the Irish cream ice cream for the white chocolate. White chocolate ice cream was so smooth and so chocolatey it was great. The cheesecake itself was light and sweet with lively chunks of tablet crumbled through it and on it.The entire experience from start to finish was simply a delight. I can hardly wait to return!

Fantastic venison, sea bream, Cullen skink and goat cheese and beets. Fantastic waitstaff. The champagne was good too. Cheesecake and dumpling were good too. Three course festive lunch for L35. President Obama missed out on some fantastic food.

Fabulous food in lovely surroundings. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch.

The buttery is located in a bit of derelict area but you would forget about that once you walk in the restaurant. The decor throw you in a cozy winter chateaux feel. We had the set menu and paid a little extra for the fillet steak. Food was absolutely delicious. The duck and black pudding was my favourite, the onion chutney brought the dish together nicely. Steak was also tasty with the crushed potatoes. For dessert we went for ice cream and pineapple coconut Bakewell tart. Tart was nice but didn’t taste much of pineapple. We both really enjoyed the ice cream especially the brandy one.

I wanted to love it because I ve heard so much about it, but it fell somewhat short of expectations. The starters (scallops with haggis and duck with black pudding) were AMAZING, but everything else was not at the same level. I had the halibut and was OK (no more, no less, fish could do with a bit less cooking, the warm avocado mouse threw me slightly off, everything else was quite tasty). My partner had the lamb duo and his dish was disappointing, no much flavour, no "kick" from the elements on the dish. Our dessert was the coconut/pineapple bakewell tart, which was quite tasty, but not at the level and finness we expected, felt like we could have had it anywhere. Overall, I would definitely go back for the starters and I would highly recommend this part of the menu, but would be reluctant to pay again £80 for this experience. Service was great, very polite, attentive, and quick. Maybe it was one of "those" nights, maybe other options for mains would have been better.

The best meal I ever had in Glasgow, absolutely beautiful. Very fresh, very tasty, the staff was very helpful and offered a 5 star service. We will definitely return here. Don't forget to try the scallops and halibut, you won't be disappointed.
