Skirving Chinese Take Away in Glasgow City

Never disappointed, always fresh and delicious. Ordered chicken with peppers and black bean sauce for a change tonight. Chunks of chicken breast. Hot and tasty. Thoroughly recommend 👌

Not great TBH. Defo has went downhill over the years. The chicken was the cubed stuff that i'm half convinced is fake.

I thought the food was good, fresh and hot.

Awful. Fried Rice was dark brown, dry, brittle and inedible.

The only reason it has one star is so I can leave a review. For a start I could not understand a word the girl that was serving me was saying as she mumbled her way throughout the order. Then went to the front door for a cigarette. The smoke was blowing back into the shop. As for the food well it's not what it used to be.

Ordered :Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs - quite enjoyed these.Chilli Dashed Spare Ribs - likewiseBut.....Singapore Rice Noodles - more like spaghetti - just all wrong - if these really were rice noodles and not wheat then they need to change supplier.Beef with Pepper in Black Bean Sauce - pretty manky. Cooked with a large amount of mushrooms - I have never been served mushrooms in this dish before, and it's clear why, it's not nice. But at least the mushrooms weren't tough and chewy, like the beef was. Not a good eating experience at all.

This truly is the BEST Chinese takeaway in Scotland (potentially the UK). We've been eating here for years and the entire menu is delicious. The chefs clearly enjoy their work as the dishes all have a real uniqueness to them. Great value for money and brilliant food. Really friendly staff and good delivery times too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

People write reviews more often when they have experienced something bad. So I thought I'd drop this here.Ordered from here several times. Love the food, great service and I will continue to order from here.I've tried a ton of things from the menu. Never had any complaints.The Salt and Chilli Chicken balls and the Chicken Curry Fried Rice are to die for.

I remember when it used to be a good takeaway. Yesterday it was a first time in a while I ordered from there and it will be the last. The quality was appalling​, the chicken balls were 80% batter and 20% chicken in the best case (I even took some photos which I am happy to share), chips were bitter and fried in the old oil. I would not recommend this place.

It really, really pains me not to be able to give this place 5 stars as the food is excellent; curry sauce is sublime and thick with a spicy edge, ingredients are always fresh and high quality, the staff always friendly. But-and it is a big BUT--it is inherently and unjustifiably overpriced. Rice, boiled or fried, should be included in a "Popular Dishes" or "Chefs Specials" section but they dont offer this, in actuality I think they are one of the only Chineses I know of not to offer it. Their pricing results in a King Prawn curry finishing in at around £8.50-£9.00...I can get the same meal of comparable quality from my favourite takeaway at my parents place for just under £6, with free prawn crackers!Skirving seriously need to rethink their pricing strategy, bringing down costs and revamping the menu to include meal deals etc will increase revenue--the food is undeniably brilliant, yet now the place holds the dubious honour of being the best takeaway that I haven't awarded 5* too. Your food is amazing; the pricing is not!
