Sloan's Bar and Restaurant in Glasgow City

Horrible place. My boyfriend got hot wax poured all over his arm, T-shirt and brand new jacket because another customer accidentally tipped the candle on their table over as there is nothing around the candle to prevent this hazard from occurring and they are placed on even the smallest of tables. The manager offered a backhanded apology saying they’re sorry but it’s not their problem and that the wax comes off. The manager refused to offer us anything for this and demanded we still pay our full bill and even tried to get the customer than accidentally tipped the candle to pay for part of our bill. Absolutely disgusting. Also the macaroni wasn’t even worth it. You definitely need to add the toppings if you actually want to taste any flavour at all.

Over priced food and drink, with staff who never crack a smile and who have no sense of how slow they all are. I don’t think it’s poor staff, it’s probably poor management and lack of training. Just waited nearly 20 mins at the bar only to be charged £2.20 for lime and soda. The 1 star is for the musical bingo, but not the loudness of the speakers

Wow I cannot believe they have the audacity to charge people for their repulsive vile food. I had an itson deal and was so looking forward to their "legendary mac and cheese". I had one mouthful and could physically not eat anymore. DISGUSTING. No staff member even bothered to ask me what was wrong they just happily took the horrific plate away as they probably do it on a regular basis. What a joke. Absolutely pathetic I'm in shock. Please please please save your money and go elsewhere. Mac and cheese was watery and mushy and tasteless. Genuinely believe it was made 3 days before and then heated in microwave. Will never return and have told my friends and family to avoid.

Lovely pub grub lunch. Burgers were delicious and it has a great atmosphere. Oh and the pretzel with dipping chocolate and sprinkles are to die for!

Really liked this place. Great location. Looks good to sit outdoor but I ate inside. Everything was reasonably priced. Food was enjoyed by everyone in our party. The haggis, neeps and tatties were excellent. Nice staff. Would recommend.

My first night out since 2019. So happy I selected this bar/restaurant for first port of call for night out with friends. Booked table (£10 per head) and the total bill was £42. Excellent Service. Thank you Sloans for the night.

Attended my niece's wedding at this magical venue in downtown Glasgow. What a party! Prime location and a touch of ancient class. 1795. And the customer service was tops.

Outside area is very cozy and has heaters available but the loud speakers next to the tables that constantly announce when food is ready for each table are very annoying.. and too loud.. dessert was nice but the coffee had no flavour at all..

The pub it's a nice place very hidden tho but the view is interesting as the old Glasgow can clearly be seen. Their signature dish, the macaroni was actually nice.
