Went here midweek for dinner with my wife with a voucher we recieved as a gift for 2 courses each and a glass of prosecco. Menu was a bit limited but the food was decent enough, service on the other hand was pretty terrible. Whilst the serving staff were friendly and polite it was just painfully slow, they dont even have the excuse of being rushed and busy as there were only 4 tables (including us) in the place! From ordering it was well over 40 minites before we recieved our starters and nearly 1 hour 10 mins before our mains arrived. My wife ordered a dessert and a coffee and I requested the bill at the same time. Once my wife had finished her dessert I put my credit card down on the plate with the bill to pay, at this point we were the only ones left in the resteraunt and the staff were rearranging all the tables (I assume for breakfast the next day) they seemed far too focused on resetting the dining room than taking my payment and we sat for another 20 mins before someone came to take my payment.Wont be rushing back.

Menu is limited and the food not up to the implied promise of the menu. I ordered an 8oz. filet steak and got flank steak instead, which as you know can be nervy and tough, it was. Dissappointed. Service was good.

Amazing staff, they were able to fit me in for a quick meal without me being a guest of the hotel and it being dinnertime. The food was well priced and very delicious, can definitely recommend.

Service was amazing when I went with my family. Staff were very kind and welcoming and made my experience very positive. The Duck was the best I’ve ever had so I will definitely be back again.

Steakout deal superb, lovely steak one of the best in Glasgow cooked perfectly, very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble for them. Great ambiance.

Poor quality steaks, when brought to the managers attention, both struggled ended up returning them ,he hid and sent a young member of staff. To offer us a free coffee A JOKE had booked and prepaid 5pm deal ,good wine and waiting staff,I think my dog would have had trouble eating it ..still confused to this day why THE MANAGER LEFT HIS POST A HID !

Truly awful. Had booked a table for 4 at 07.30 on 18th October. Service was unbelievably slow. Guy was wandering around the restaurant with my 'artisan breads' (read 'bread rolls') before I called him over and he gave them to us. Another 30 minutes for starters, had to call a waitress to get spoons for 2 of my group so they could eat their Cullen skink; another of my party's scallops were still frozen on the inside so he had to wait 10 minutes for replacement. Mains took another 30 minutes and we had to remind them about the sides and had to find someone to give us steak knives. I guess I must have eaten worse steaks in my time, but I'm struggling to remember where and when. £8 supplement for a plateful of defrosted gristle. I complained to the guy in charge, who was very polite but had already been dealing with other unhappy customers. I suggested that they sack their alleged chef. He promised to deduct my steak from the bill (£166), but when I checked out of the hotel in the morning, he hadn't. This is supposed to be a class hotel yet they accept this standard of food and service. If you stay there, I recommend you get yourself a nice table by the window in Burger King. The food will be better, the service will be faster and the bill will by a tenth of what this lot had the bare faced nerve to charge me. Appalling.

i've eaten here for years . was always wow! what has gone wrong? a lazy chef who is bizarre in trying to be creative. salted popcorn with sweetcorn fritters? just wrong. main course menu with supplements on almost all dishes now - wish you hadn't started the vouchers. a £ 2 supplement on fish & chips? the (£4 supp) beef was dry & overpowered by a bizarre gravy-very poor. don't get me started on dessert-cheesecake on a warm plate?? a dc tuile which just melted1. referred back to chef who couldn't fix it-a simple tuile? i even advised how to fix it-all sorts of silly excuses. the manager tried but staff appeared inexperienced & the chef would not take responsibility for his mistakes & a confused menu. very disappointed. Grand Central-this is your usually wonderful restaurant-please sort it!!
