The Beechwood in Glasgow City

A nice good sized local bar, with a good range of pub grub at reasonable prices. Pool, darts, music, all tickettyboo.They do let themselves down with poor bar service, in that if you're not a regular or known face, you'll find yourself frustrated at regulars arriving at the bar after you, getting served before you. This happens a LOT. Some refresher training sorely needed in this area.

Great pub love coming in here for football. What a place. Great staff and even better it is dog friendly. Nicola was fast to serve us and was friendly all night.

Nice layout and selection of drinks. However the worst bar service ever. There is a guy behind the bar that acts like he is doing you a favour by serving you. No manners eye contact or communication to let you know you will be served. He is too self absorbed to see how bad he is. It also always seems understaffed, easily having you stand for at least 15 mins before a hint of service. I had the cheek to ask for a slice of lemon in a gin and tonic (which should be standard).

Brilliant place for food and always a busy wee pub at the weekends for drinks! Cracking pub 👌

I was in two days in a row after funerals. The service was excellent. The catering staff were amazing in the function room. Nothing was a bother to them. The staff in the lounge were just as nice and helpful. The food was excellent with a good menu.

Shambles start to finish, large group booking with food ordered in advance only to be told no we don't have enough of this and that. Now given the order was given to them I'd have thought they would have had meals ready.

Ordered mac and cheese and it was burnt. Brown bits under the cheese topping. Told the waitress who offered another meal but no discount off the bill. Not great customer service.

Great beer, good pub grub, cracking staff and fast service. What more to want?

August 2021 update:Food is even better than before and the pub is just as cosy as it's always been. It's very clean and eating and drinking outside when the sun is out is glorious. Attached a photo of the sirloin steak. I like it well done and it's still juicy. I highly recommend the sautéed mushrooms to go with it.--------------------Delicious cheap Scottish breakfast. I've had food here several times before and it's been perfect every time. Chicken fajitas are my favourite.Beautiful steak and ale pie, too!
