The Carrick Stone in Glasgow City

I haven't been there for over a year (passed it to go into the old shopping centre) would not go back to W/spoon I ordered a meal. with. two eggs a good egg was.on top of a egg from someone else plate ((get mad when i think about it) myfriend wasn't feeling that good.that day so i didnt say anything,ps this was the Cumbernauld Pub,

Nice place. Food however dodn't recomened the fish & chips it was not edible. The other meals were reasonable tho.

Breakfast pretty bland and place wasn't clean. Cheap and cheerful. Coffee machine was decent.

Didn't know it was a Wetherspoons when we walked in, exhausted after travelling on foot across 36 roundabouts. But the entryway was exciting, the drinks were dead cheap and they provided some tabletop propaganda which was an eye opening and only mildly disturbing experience. Decent vibes for a big pub.

We love coming here for breakfast with the kids. They love the free refills for hot chocolate! Staff are friendly and food is decent.

Table service as per covid restrictions and staff were very competent and efficient with table service. Well done to all of the staff keeping up friendly and efficient service in the present circumstances. Take a bow all of the staff at carrickstone wothherspoon cumbernauld xxx

Friendly staff who are very welcoming and a great pub grub menu. Wide variety of drinks and all reasonably priced so, good place for a few hours socialising.

Food and service was great, asked for a box to be take a pizza away we had hardly touched and was given one no problem. Decent Guinness too.

The CarrickstonePark nearby and it is a very short walk to see a forgotten treasure.Carrickstone is a housing estate in Cumbernauld that sits atop a hill, but what many may not be aware of is where it gets its name from.Behind the houses are two objects that you’d never expect to find here, a Roman altar (The Carrick Stone) and a trig point.The Roman altar has a small fence around it but has been here for almost two thousand years. Legend has it that Robert the Bruce planted his standard in the hole in it, before The Battle of Bannockburn.The stone takes its name from him, the ‘Earl of Carrick', continue a short distance along the path to find a trig point, which must have been erected long before the houses appeared in the early 1990s.A nice little attraction to visit if you are in the area.

A comfortable and welcoming drinking venue in a rather bland seventies shopping centre. In fact it brightens up that end of the centre with a splash of colour and an inexpensive welcome. The pub is on two levels and there is plenty of room to find a cosy corner, great value with nice staff, I enjoyed my visit..
