The Curlers Rest in Glasgow City

Great pub, nice atmosphere, music never too loud that you have to shout over it. Good selection of drinks and tasty food.

Food tasted good, I was just a bit shocked. 30 pounds for all this....that mac and cheese cost 11.50. No garlic bread.

Lovely atmosphere, staff are very friendly and there is a broad selection of drinks.However, I think staff might need some training on how to serve/pour cask ales; long pulls and a top up at the end. The ones I’ve had have been rushed and pulled in short strokes, end result is there isn’t a proper head which is indicative of a bad cask pint.

On Monday 7th Feb. I was in this great pub.. however.... There was 2 female managers, that, on a whim because they wanted to go home, decided to close the pub early... There was at least 20 people in the pub who all left UNHAPPY. Some people had checked the website and Google. Closing time was 12 midnight... But the girls in charge wanted to go home and called last orders at 10.30... a big loud circular bell... They were gleefully happy.. the fox is in charge of the hen house... SHAME.. management's fault

They refuse to take cash as a form of payment. Since SAGE and the WHO advise that Covid doesn't readily spread from surfaces, this makes no sense. Pity because they are close to my club events.Update: Went again this week. Still did not take my payment, so I'm not sure what the reply here is trying to pull. Their employees know nothing about this "change delivery" and would not take exact cash.

Good food. Great choice of beers and always cheerful service. I love this pub.

Really nice pub in byres road, nice environment with comfortable lighting. Drinks are in the more expensive side, but understandable as the pub is in the middle of byes road. Cool staff, nice range of drink choices, allows booking on the top floor so if you have a big group of people you can just book the place. Not a pub I will go every week, but it is not a bad pub overall

Smashing pub, looks small from the outside but its pretty big inside. Great selection of beers and friendly staff as well. It was busy so we went upstairs. Great atmosphere with low background music. What's not to like, worth a visit or two.

I've been in Curlers Rest a few times with my parents and it's always a welcoming pub with a good selection of drinks. We keep saying we should go for a meal one day as it looks like they sell nice food also. It's definitely a "must visit" when in Bryes Road and I'd highly recommend it! :-)
