Dreadful experience, went in to meet a friend sitting on her own and was accosted half way to her table by a scruffy looking manager complaining about my lack of facemask.I explained I didn't have one and told I couldn't come in.Do you provide face masks"no".Where can I buy one? "Don't know"Can I go look for my friend and explain what's happening"no"will you do it"no".I had to walk 1/2 mile in the rain to find a shop which sold one and only went back because a lone female was sitting waiting for me.I didn't realise the hospitality industry was performing so well that they could afford this level of discourteous behaviour towards customers and if they're so concerned about facemasks why not provide them.I for one won't be back and their senior staff should perhaps consider a hospitality course.

Pints were lovely. Loved the cajun fries and the bbq spicy chicken pizza. They had all the football on including El Clasico. Perfect Sunday.

Staff member was extremely rude to me and my partner. We had to leave. Please avoid this place !!! 25/03/2022 13:00

nice food that came in decent time. the issue was with the staff here. everyone save for one lovely young woman was exceptionally unwelcoming, zero customer service skills.upon entering the place, a woman barked at us to wear our masks (which i am except from) and did not offer us any kind of welcome. we sat ourselves down in a nearly completely empty room (so no excuse for not being seated by a member of staff) where we tried to order through the QR code on the table which did not have a table number. when catching the same woman to ask what our table number was i was looked at as though i were stupid and told, in a VERY condescending tone, that we were seated at table 10.it’s a shame that the staff here are so terrible at their jobs as the food was somewhat decent and came quickly enough that we had no reason to complain about that. will not be returning or recommending to anyone.

Great place for a quite drink on a Sunday night, but nothing particularly special about it. Nothing wrong with it either.

Choice of beers is decent, staff polite, however the food was pretty disappointing, i know it was only pub grub but even then it fell short, the blue cheese really didnt taste right, almost menthol banana flavour, really bizarre (i love blue cheese as well) mushrooms were watery, calamari was overdone and chewy, batter was rock solid, mac and cheese just average/below par, and chicken was ok probably the best part and it was only average. A shame really cause the atmosphere, drinks & staff were good

The staff especially the waitress were very accommodating and pleasant. Really made us and our little dog welcome. Offered her water. The food was a bitter disappointment as I have had great meals in the past. Most of my sausages were so overcooked I could not put my fork in. I was treating my friend and had raved about the food so I felt a little embarrassed. Lunch time menu very good value.

Went to the Granary tonight, 28/07/2021 and the service and food was amazing.Have never been before but was pleasantly surprised, the Waitresses were amazing and the food was far better than expected. We got fish and chips and can definitely say it's way better than your average pub food; menu had loads of veggie/vegan options too.Chef looked rushed off his feet as it looked like he was the only one in the kitchen but the food was amazing, so credit to him! Will definitely be back :)

Friendly pub and great staff. There was a slight mix up with our food but the manager stepped in and went above and beyond to sort it. Food was good too. We'll definitely be back, recommended 👍🏼

Very interesting historical building and a nice atmosphere in the pub.Great staff.you can sit inside or out . Good selection of beers. Only thing wrong here is the huge tellys everywhere ok if you want to watch football. But no one in a pub wants Saturday night telly in the pub.
