Went out for a quiet evening with a family member when majourley disturbed by a loud male who is known to staff. The male shouting and swearing while others (even children )are trying to have a quiet meal reported to staff but never seen this addressed and he continued resulting in us having to leave as nothing was addressed . Very poor from the staff team.

First time in the Kirkhouse in a while and won't be back, tried to order the two course carvery, had the starters then went for the roast, no potatoes left and the honey roast ham was bits of leftovers and the silver side was all burnt offerings this was at five o'clock and the carvery got closed because they had been busy. Tried to stay for a couple of drinks but it was so cold that every one had their coats on ,drunk up and went to the Clacken way overpriced £4.75 a pint Clacken £3.40 get your act together and turn the heating on

Went on Sunday with the family, had a few starters which were really nice, would definitely change the bowls the starters are served in as makes it difficult to eat with them being so small, also a dressing on the salad would complete the dish, the carvery was absolutely delicious 😋 the roast beef was so tender and pink, really enjoy it, and the kids enjoyed the pizza a wraps, overall very pleasant, and the staff were lovely too

Had a lovely dinner with my friend today, I hadn't been in since it was bought over, but I really was delighted by the service and th food. W both had the Steak Frites and s portion of onion rings it was all cooked to perfection and served with a smile xxxx

Fantastic bar/restaurant. Really good food and prices are reasonable. Staff are all lovely and so helpful. Extra precautions in place now include, track amd trace information gathered, temperature taken apon arrival, plenty of hand sanitisation stations, one way system in place and face masks worn by staff and all customers until seated. Areas cleaned as soon as customers leave and was witnessed through out our time there. Loads of in-house events "normally" in place to entertain the punters. Great wee 5 star place. Disabled accessible toilet, mostly flat throughout (except the odd tiny difference in leaving other toilets and arriving, just small steps, change in floor heights nothing too much unless terrain differences effect balance) wheelchair accessible throughout. Car park area within grounds of bar.
