The National Piping Centre in Glasgow City

Restaurant was superb. Mac cheese with salmon was absolutely delicious.

Attended a wedding reception.Pluses.. Beautifully laid out tables. Fabulous food. Lovely canapés. Dinner was really excellent. Wine service frequent and attentive. Evening buffet was also really nice. Plenty of room for dancing and good stage for band. Staff all very pleasant.Suggestions... more seating required whilst tables being organised before and after dinner. Quicker service for food. Waiters with long hair, tie hair back. Non dairy milk was available but it never arrived. Toilets need more attention.

Had lunch there today; fantastic; lovely food; the fish and chips was delicious as was the Cullen skink ; very nice staff and very reasonable. This will be our restaurant of choice when visiting the theatre royal; thanks again

Was here for a wedding, not the museum so base my review on that. Overly expensive non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, staffed poorly, no urgency in serving customers

Excellent Glasgow city centre venue. My band, (The Jiggers Ceilidh Band) play here regularly for weddings and corporate events and it's got great acoustics and good food. Really good for a ceilidh. It's included in our blog post about the 100 top Scottish wedding venues.

The National Piping Centre is actually a hotel in Glasgow offering typical Scottish breakfast, which we could not let pass us by. The dining room is actually quite small and cosy and we were quick with our order. Tea and toast were with us in no time and all seemed right. 20 minutes later we had to remind the people serving us that we were still without our breakfast... and it never quite recovered after that. We had to ask for ( and wait ) for more toast and of course more butter and the water we ordered never made it. It could be so much better.... alas it wasn’t when we were there.

Although when I went the exhibition was under construction, it was great. Because of the construction admission was free but is usually just a couple pounds. Despite the small size of the exhibition, I feel I learned a good amount. It was a relatively unique experience as well! There are even Chanters (the flute like part of the bagpipe) that can be tried out. Doesn't take very long and is pretty accessible. Would recommend if you find bagpiping interesting.

Our wedding venue... where everything was done to perfection. Building provides a great backdrop with tasteful decor which is just Scottish enough. Love the historic black & white photos on the walls, the stained glass and the way the light shines into the blue room. The food was well presented and lovely just like in the bistro. The service great. The bar stocked with Scottish craft beers and gins impressed the guests.The organising, management of the day, accommodating the providers of cake, decor, entertainment - all done very professionally. The venue size created a great atmosphere for a party evening. Great location for guests travel and accommodation with lots of hotels in surrounding streets and travel hubs everywhere. Thanks to all who helped create a fantastic day.

Pre-theatre menu was superb...such high quality for a very good price.Getting married here in 8 weeks and can't wait.Staff are always helpful and so attentive.What can I say...I love this place!
