The Social in Glasgow City

Absolute disgrace of a place! Pal paid £400 for booths for us all which there was only 20 of us for the head of the party to be told she wasn’t allowed in as well as the rest of us because we were too drunk which we had only had 1 or 2 drinks at most in spoons waiting on the taxis which manager also refused to come out and explain to us why we weren’t allowed in but was more than happy to keep the £400 and fill our table. We were then told that booking a table and paying for drink packages in full weeks in advanced that this didn’t guarantee entry. My pal has already posted a review after this happened in which the social removed this??? Why have a reviews tab on ur page if ur just going to be bias with good reviews. Totally avoid this place! Trust me there’s better places around Glasgow than this no worth a penny this place.

Absolute disgrace, payed over £400 for booths for a friends birthday and as we turned up we were told our tables were taken, turned up sober and bouncers were horrible to us and extremely rude. Won’t be back. Avoid at all costs. Disgusting attitude.

It has a good vibe and you gotta love a bit of atmosphere on a night out.....but you also want a timely service, which does not happen. Bar service is slow. - Simple suggestion - you make great cocktails but they take forever and really slow down service, maybe table service for the long/slow cocktails....just an idea

Always a good shout! Food, music, drinks, good size. Great atmosphere!

Visited the establishment yesterday the 5th January for food and drink. Ordered two Red Dragon burgers and for the first time in my life had to send back our meals. First attempt was presented and looked like the Red Dragon had made the dish completely insinirated. The second attempt was marginally better but not great.

Great drinks however service was very slow

Bar staff are quick considering how busy they get! Good place for dancing. Gets really busy from 10 or so!

Very well organised with covid guidelines. Place has been revamped and outdoor floral touch very pretty. Great cocktails, large choice and well presented.My rubber duck added a touch of humour! Keep coming back to this fun place even in my latter years!

The food was awesome just let down by the service. I understand the need to turn over tables, but not bothering to check if anything else was required before presenting the bill took the shine off the meal. Especially as the bill was presented before the dessert, which we had ordered, had been delivered to the table. Also geberal knowledge about the food and what beer was for sale would have helped but as I said tge food was excellent.
