Turquoise in Glasgow City

Prices are £My pizza was great, however, the Donner Kebab my gf had her throwing up at 2am.Place was relatively clean so we think the Donner meat was off or not prepared correctly.

Made order at 3am, phoned at half 4 and was told food was still to leave the shop at 5am no food had arrived. Shocking service would of been better just waiting for my breakfast.

Kebab ok - although this is not the same shop as it used to be. I have known this shop for 12 years and was my go to place for a Sarbeni and made a special trip there couple times a year for one (I don’t live in Glasgow) after my long shift I decided to go to this landmark for a long awaited sarbeni, to my surprise I couldn’t see them on the menu and the staff explained they aren’t doing them anymore, I opted for a large donner kebab instead, £7.50, expensive but I understand it’s the city centre and it’s 2am but the large kebab was much smaller than my expectations, I did ask if that was a large and I was assured it was. Shop outside was a mess with rubbish, food and wrappers food from late nights revellers, I always remember this place being pristine and staff keeping the shop front tidy. Good shop that used to provide great food and good service has been replaced by an outlet that now only caters to drunks. Quality and service have gone 😕

Turquoise used to be a Glasgow institution.They didn’t survive the initial Covid lock down and are now owned by the next door grill guru.This isn’t Turquoise anymore.This used to be the best takeaway in Glasgow.Amazing meals at amazing prices and the friendliest staff that knew your name and what your order was.Now the quality has went through the floor and prices through the roof.A sad time and the end of an era.RIP turquoise.

Food good. Service not the best. Almost got charged £5 too much when they forgot about their pizza deal. Felt like it took too long as well when we were the only people there.

Had to update this post, I was disappointed to find the shop had changed hands. Atmosphere in the shop is gone and the special menu they have had for 20 years is gone. Sad indeed

Came here after a night out, it's changed hands recently and if you have ever been in the past you'll remember how amazing the food was and the portion sizes etcSadly this is not the case now, it's a typical takeover poor products cheap in quality and they have reduced the size portions but kept or increased the prices which was the last straw for me. Will never be back do not recommend!

Amazing Italian food in a very nice Environment. Excellent spacing and safety procedures and the staff were as always lovely welcoming friendly but not overbearing. Best Restaurant for Italian pizza and we have tried their Turkish food and it was delicious. Chicken Doner was fantastic.

Wish if there was any lower than one star to award. Sarbini off the Manu,so I ordered 12" chicken Donner pizza with small lamb Donner kebab and small portion of chips, came to £20. Literally 8 small pieces of chicken Donner on dry and hard pizza, juiceless and dry lamb Donner kebab looks like yesterday's leftover refreshed served with less than half of small container of cold, oily and soggy chips.Poor customer care and extremely poor quality food.Discovered this place is owned by next door restaurant owners and was under new management when asked about welcoming and happy real Turkish faces used to serve. Bet you any money they can run this place and will stay there longer than a year. Serving too little, too poor quality for the price far too high.NEVER AGAIN. countdown is on the wall for their closure.

Where do I start? My previous review of this place was 5 star and probably one of the best in Glasgow. Now, lucky if it's getting one star. Had the misfortune of going in tonight and walked out with nothing. New owners and it has gone downhill rapidly. Hardly anything apart from kebabs or pizzas which are well overpriced. Sarbenni's which Turquoise was famous for, aren't even listed. Guy in front got a donner kebab and it looked terrible. Sad day for Sarbenni lovers and for Glasgow's kebab lovers. Come back the original owners as this place will be shut in 6 months the way its going.
