Cool family and dog-friendly bar with stone walls, and smart restaurant with modern Scottish menu.

Wonderful food. Good value for money. Wine overpriced. £25 for a bottle of Rose is a bit much. Tasted better for less. Very dark atmosphere but for food a definite return

Lovely experience today at The Drake. The food was fantastic, with such lovely staff. They were so lovely to my friends dog too! Highly recommend!!

So cosy and lovely. Very romantic but also feels like a neighborhood pub. Very open and welcoming to all.

Pleasant, tasty pub food. Service was good. Large range of beers, spirits and cocktails. One, bland low alcohol lager on the drinks menu so if you're not drinking alcohol you're stuck with that, water or sweet carbonated drinks. There is a wide selection of tasty low alcohol beers available these days and interesting mocktails so no excuse for that, hence only three stars.

Lovely food - and friendly staff. Only dropped a star as we couldn't hear with noise and had to ask a few times to get the music turned down! Sorry we are over 40 and all the gigs have affected our hearing!

Came here looking forward to a Sunday roast but the only option was to choose from the set Christmas Menu. Costing a grand total of £20 for one very average main course, the portion size was even more disappointing. The turkey came with 2 brussel sprouts, 2 baby potatoes and one pig in a blanket, smaller than a cocktail sausage. Definitely a rip off which is a shame because it's a cosy pub with the log fire burning.

Went for a family celebration (18 covers).Started well enough but then went downhill when the food arrived . Butter chicken bland and very small portion for a main ,fish was tasty but batter was greasy. My burger looked great despite a lack of cheese but it was half cooked/half raw ,i asked for it to be cooked a bit more and it came back very dry and without the garnish it left with !!!!Had to ask for condiments as none on the tables or offered with the food when served..Staff seemed very disorganised and couldnt wait to lift our plates .Ended with one of the staff standing with our birthday cake seemingly unannounced.Maybe dont take a large party if you cant manage the orders .Pub grub on a not so cheap ticket .Wont be back ....S

Hidden Gem, down in the basement. Good food, and a cracking wee log fire
