Excellent authentic food and service. Very nice restaurant and spotlessly clean. Xx

The food here is first class and very reasonably priced. The chef must be one of the very best in Glasgow. My favourite dish is chicken palak, but everything I have tried has been good quality and flavourful. All the meat is excellent, and, for example, only the best Scotch lamb is used. The staff are friendly and attentive and the tables are well spaced out, making the place feel safe from Covid.

Had a good meal here at the weekend. The only thing wrong was the burger came wrapped in tinfoil which had made the bun extremely soggy and it put me off a bit but the chicken in the burger and the rest off the meal was great! The staff were amazing and extremely helpful and polite x

Food was good, service was very bad. I asked for a jug of water three times and got it third asking when I was almost finishing my main course. The serving staff seemed if they were made to work at gunpoint and could not even offer a smile.

Had a horrible dinning experience here we ordered mixed pakora for starters it was okay not the best the only thing that was really nice was the potato fritters, for main's we ordered chicken tikka chilli garlic southindian & fried rice and 3 meat mixed biryani with curry sauce and we shared a garlic Nan bread. The southindian chilli garlic was very pickle tasting the rice was okay the 3 mixed meat biryani was missing the mince so was sent back then when retuned it was missing the green chilli and was covered in coriander which was over powering and they had chopped up the stocks and put them in too, the rice was salty not much other flavours the curry sauce was nice but but sweet the only thing about the main meals was the garlic Nan bread, very disappointed with the food won't be back even if they offered a free meal ☹☹☹☹

I went to Village Curry House with Pakistani friends, Restaurant was nice and tidy. The seating area is quite big and looks like they're busy as it was not busy.Friends ordered food and one of the foods we ordered was Nihari but when we've got it my friends argue that it's not Nihari that's why I mentioned maybe you ordered Mihara that's why different 🙃🤣The staff are friendly, Mohito was great and happy with their service.Hope they have a look into Nihari and find out what was a mistake 🤔

Booked a table for 12 at 7.30pm. This was a family dinner. Being a Thursday night, the restaurant wasn't busy. They do not serve alcohol.Once we had given our order, drinks arrived and just had to wait about 15 minutes for our starters which were mixed meat platters.Once the plates were cleared away, just had to wait for about 15/20 minutes for the mains to arrive.Everyone really enjoyed all the food. Service was good.By 8.30pm, the restaurant was getting busy & was still busy when we left about 9.30pm.We all really enjoyed the evening.Just be aware that they have a small car park.

Visited this place after a couple of years and wow! It did not disappoint! Started with crunchy poppadoms and a spicy onion chutney then had chicken karahi on the bone, lamb karahi on the bone, Tarka daal and a Persian mixed grill. Curries were delicious full of flavour and the Persian mixed grill was cooked to perfection. Juicy and tender pieces of meat. Definitely recommend this to a foodie 😍

The Village is a restaurant landmark of Glasgow having been here for decades.I have been coming here almost weekly for years. Restaurant is clean and I like that you can see into the kitchen and be reassured by the cleanliness and good preparation.Food is always on point and they have lots of options and desi style dishes as well. Staff are always polite and attentive. Ignore the other negative reviews, all places can alow down when busy. They can make any dish to any spice level.Recommend ginger handi and lamb karahi. At the moment thr restaurant has been rejigged for coronavirus and tables are well spaced out.I would highly recommend the Village and would say it is one of the best desi (indian and Pakistani) restaurants in Glasgow.

Read the reviews, kind of put off but don't believe everything you read. Slow to start off but he was dealing with another customer query. Waiter did apologize and made small talk. 9 minutes from order to table, the food was amazing washed down with a delicious milk shake. Definitely keep the fire at bay. Waited a wee while. A little work on customer body language and the food, well you'll just have to try it for yourself
