Water Mill in Glasgow City

The staff is very welcoming, polite and very kind. Perfect breakfast that’s included in the price and chef remembered my order from day 1 😁👌🏽Some bathroom interior could be refreshed as the building is quite old but I’m not too fussy and that didn’t bother me.Thank you WaterMill for your hospitality!

I booked this hotel as it was close to where I wanted to be and the reviews seemed okI had a room on the third floor overlooking the waterfall. Room was cosy quiet and comfortable not big but ok.The shower ceiling was a bit low for a tall person.A few cracks in porcelain in the bathroom.You could argue that the decor was tired but overall I liked it and would go back. Has character. Staff were nice and friendly and good breakfast.

The only thing on the up here is the staff, and the breakfast was ok, but this place needs a serious overhall, right down to the toasters, it has seen better days and need more than just a lick of paint, window frams in our room were not far off of falling apart, and could only just see through the glass due to dirt, but if honest, you get what you pay for, if you only need a bed to put your head down on, this will do

Great price and location, the staff are all very helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean but could do with a refresh.

Lovely view over the mill. Chef got us in for breakfast even though we had missed the time. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms are basic but tidy. Reception staff friendly, excellent value

We did not stay here. We booked and then covid happened, and we still have not been able to travel. We were spending 6 weeks in 3 countries and all of our hotels (even though we had all non refundable rooms) gave us our money back. But not here. We are still unable to get there due to the pandemic and this hotel is still not willing to give us our money back nor are they willing to extend the credit that they gave us. We will stay at any other hotel when we do go because their customer service is lacking which makes me wonder about theiroverall service. Sadly disappointed with the customer good will!

Awful hotel noisy all night, window was jammed bloody freezing, fire slamming screaming twice on separately days second time at 6.25am due to poor chefing skills, some staff were nice some were miserable as sin. Hotel needs a serious modernisation, doors slamming all night long, yes it's cheap the price does reflect the hotel conditions and decor. Will never stay again my whole family agree it was rubbish. Its a shame it used to be so much better, needs massive investment to bring it up to at least a Premier Inn or similar basic accommodation.

The view from my room 109 was stunning you good see the see the waterfall literally on top of you, awesome.The rooms do need updating, but for price of the rooms you can't fall off, staff were lovely, very welcoming, I would come back in I was ever in Paisley again.

Rooms are fairly basic but comfortable. Has a very relaxed atmosphere. Food in the bar is excellent. Breakfast is buffet style and has a good choice. Ideal spot for the West Coast without being in the hustle of Glasgow. Great for couples.

Great building but inside is very tired. There were cobwebs on the inside of windows in dining room, in bed room the carpet had rips, the floor boards feel as if they are broken, cleaning of vent in bathroom requires to be undertaken, toilet paper is cheap single ply, attitude of staff left lot to be desired especially at breakfast. The continental breakfast consisted of couple croissants, cereal, cheap bread for toast and couple of yogurts. Four toasters all plugged into coiled up Extension cable (Health & safety).Price was reasonable with extras for breakfast.With some tlc this beautiful place could be very up market and stunning.
