Always have a huge range of plants, indoor and outdoor. They also have home wares and gift sections so it ticks all those boxes. The cafe is nice, quite big and with a good selection.Only issue with Cardwell Gardens as a whole is that it can be quite pricey.

I always enjoy a visit to this garden centre due to the variation of items on view. There is a large cafeteria with the usual mixture of hot & cold food available. On my visit the staff were falling over themselves to help. It's worth noting that unusually the place wasn't too busy so we got through the selection & checkout pretty quickly. (I suspect that when busy it could take a bit longer). The only downside is the coffee is never as hot as I think it should be (this is only my opinion) but being a bit shy I never complain so really I am the one with the problem.

Every time we visit family up here we always visit this garden centre. It is well equipped with plants, as you would expect, gifts, a couple of shops, an animal area of particular interest to young children, country food store and cafe. Usually the cafe is amazing with a wide variety of hot dinners, snacks and cakes to choose from. During the pandemic this has been reduced to a more limited offering…still good, just not so impressive. Looking forward to when things get back to normal. Always worth a visit, particularly when it rains. Never come out of there without buying something!

Price of the plants are reasonable and are of good quality. Had steak pie and chips with veg in the restaurant. The steak pie was tasty but the chips and veg were just warm and cooled very quickly.

·

Nice independent Garden Centre with a good food hall.

I'm sorry to say we were somewhat disappointed in our visit. We used to visit regularly untill a coupe of years ago but hadn't been for a while and it seems to have gone way down hill.Service in tearoom was not good and range of stock in the centre in general is just not what it used to be. Such a shame as we used to really enjoy our visits there.

The brie and cranberry toasted sandwich was delicious and was served with a fresh salad and crisps. The coffee was warm but not hot, however the staff realised the problem once I returned it and were happy to provide a replacement. There was no bad feeling. It was not busy, which enabled us to have plenty of space between the tables, which was good, however it's a large restaurant and it felt cold (I think the windows were open for extra ventilation in view of COVID). We had to keep our jackets on whilst eating lunch, which wasn't ideal. The staff were very pleasant but the service was slow.

I loved this garden centre. Very welcoming place with parking. Pretty big with an amazing cafe with brilliant scones! The garden centre has plenty inside and outdoors with great variety of plants and gardening products. There are also gift shops. Selling beautiful Scottish products and clothing.

Massive garden centre with all sorts of stuff you can buy inside. Loads of different varieties or different things and the cafe is also delightful. Lovely space and delicious little treats. And the pond with the turtles and the birds chirping away. Best garden centre I've been to in a long while. Staff are super friendly as well.

Still pretty quiet for a Friday afternoon, but that was OK. Got the disabled bay closest to the main door courtesy of the mother-in-law and her parking permit (there is still 3 or 4 disabled bays fenced off for some unknown reason, probably for more than a year now. Covid will be the answer, as with so much else). They stock everything from jigsaw puzzles to conservatories, not just plants and spades. Plenty of room in the cafe (a maskless middle aged woman still came and stood just behind me even though there was about 20 metres of free space to choose from- my server even noticed and engaged with her sharply). Good choice here, crisps or chocolate, ice cream all the way to hot main courses. Two lattes, a diet coke with three bits of cake, ÂŁ18.25. Sat outside under the canopy and watched the wee birds (the wild feathered kind).
