Chartroom Restaurant & Bar in Inverclyde

Recently had a meeting with a representative there over coffee. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and at £3 for two coffees it wasn't exactly breaking the bank. Would visit again!

Went here for a lunch following my Uncle's funeral. Staff were very friendly and food was great, facilities were nice and clean too.The only improvement required here is to have a wider and better range of alcohol free beer and wine. It's all well and good to have a great choice of champagne, wine, beer, whisky, brandy and vodka etc. but why should anyone, who prefers an alcohol free beverage only have juice, fizzy drinks or peroni zero? This is unacceptable and discriminates against those, who can't consume alcohol due to medical reasons or have to drive! Could you please fix this to ensure those who don't want to drink or can't drink alcohol can relax, enjoy themselves and have a better experience at the restaurant in the same way that alcohol drinkers can. Thank you.

Lovely staff and although we only stayed for a few drinks, there were some very delightful smells emanating from the kitchen, being transferred to sizzling played prior to service. Went with a friend with a dog, who was welcomed inside, and who everybody fussed over! Delightful atmosphere, lovely seeing looking at the marina.

Last week, my family and I went to this restaurant for a simple family trip. The place appears to be average, nothing spectacular, and very basic, in stark contrast to the breathtaking view that contributes for 80% of the overall appearance.The service was bad, with workers who did not make eye contact with guests, did not smile, and seemed uninterested. The only exceptions were a tall man wearing a black shirt and having light brown hair, and a waitress with very dark hair and eyebrows who was always smiling, cheerful, and adorable.The primary concern was the food: my husband's burger tasted dairy ingredients, such as a mix of milk and batter, something very strange and extremely unusual.It was hard to taste any beef on it; I'm curious to know how they make it.Furthermore, the food presentation in general appears to be rather boring, like a jumble of ingredients and garnishes with little effort put in by the chefs.We never mentioned to our server any issues because the entire experience was so negative that we will never return anyway.I just find it strange that a venue like this can host weddings. I wouldn't want to be served substandard food by unhappy employees on a wedding day.Thanks for nothing!

Staff were very friendly and helpful, place was busy, but did not have long to wait for a member of staff to bring a menu. Good selection of food on offer. We will be back. ⁸

Had a table booked on a busy Saturday night, went and placed our order and noticed 3 dogs on the premises at the bar. My partner has hearing difficulties and due to them whining and barking we had to leave as this was piercing through his ears! We had no warning of dogs being on the premises, if we had, we would not have went. The restaurant was quite hot maybe why the dogs were acting this way as they seemed uncomfortable :( ! Have nothing against dogs in bars but people ought to have some respect for other diners and could have maybe taken them to the outside patio to cool down and let others eat in peace. Called and was given an apology but not good enough! Would also advise against dining here if you have allergies against pets as the room is open plan and food passes by the bar area before the restaurant. Never had an issue here before until tonight which is a shame as we were regular customers.

Only stopped for coffee and enjoyed this outside with the views of marina . Nice friendly staff.Lovely to see that dogs are welcome outside but didn't like that one was seated on bench beside its owner and was being allowed to sniff at table. Wouldn't really want to be sitting there after doggy left. I did say to a member of staff but his reply was that people do this!!!! As I said happy that dogs are allowed but definitely not to be seated or allowed to touch table ......

Excellent Views across Inverkip Marina, Fab food, generous portion sizes, great value for money and such lovely attentive staff.

Perfect location in front of the Marina. The only thing i would have liked was some shade from the sun but the meal was excellent and service was too.

Took the mrs here for our 30th birthdays. Staff were amazing and the food was incredible.. both really enjoyed ourselves. Very clean and beautiful views of the marina right outside the window. 100% will be going back
