Food was tasty and we enjoyed our meal. I think the menu is toned down to match local tastes - very moderate compared to Chinese in the more cosmopolitan areas of the UK. Assumptions of Western cutlery and of no gratuity on the card may support that idea, but both of these were changed on request. My Szechuan Beef, while tasty and colourful, lacked a bit of punch. For me, the Hot & Sour soup was a little salty, but that is just personal taste. Chicken Chow Mein was very nice. Portions were all generous. If I sound negative, I apologise - in summary, see the opening sentence above.

Had a meal from here at my mam and dad house not long ago this is only Chinese restaurant they'll order from and the curry sauce is absolute Dyno the chicken balls are perfection on the plate and great value for money been run by the same family for years and it just keeps getting better as the years pass by fantastic restaurant would highly recommend China garden

Can't fault the food or service at all. One of the very few Chinese restaurants in the town that sticks to the older traditions that made them. Run by the same family for years and years now. The only complaint is that the inside could really be doing with being brought into the 2000s as its sadly stuck in the 90s in terms of decor and linen used on the tables.

Really disappointed from my order last night.Chow main taisted really odd, the satay sauce had no flavour and was thin like water. Family complained that there chicken satay taisted dry and odd too.Completely different quality from what we usually expect, we have been ordering from China Garden for years and usually there food is very good.

We were just passing through Greenock in our campervan and parked up, googled chinese takeaway nearby and ordered from here. One of the best meals I have ever had, was beautiful.
