Pak Lee in Inverclyde

I miss Pak Lee. Chinese cuisine in the US is not as good as it is in the UK and I miss Pak Lee the most.

Tasty but sometimes over-salted spoiling an otherwise good Chinese takeaway. Reasonably priced and quite speedy on delivery.

We have been using Pak Lee for the past 25 years and since new ownership, the service is terrible. Our order was wrong and the member of staff spoke to me terribly on the phone, refusing to accept responsibility. While waiting to collect order, several customers returned with incorrect order also. We know every new business will have teething problems and we gave them the benefit of the doubt with previous orders but their customer service is not good enough. If you are on the front counter, the phone or the kitchen, you are part of the ‘one business’ and a team. You don’t just blame the kitchen and think that’s acceptable. Front of house has the responsibility to rectify the ‘businesses’ mistakes. Very disappointed.

Chicken Chow Mein, Szechuan Chicken and Fried Rice ordered this week. Both meals disappointing, rice was dry and lacked flavour, chicken was rubbery, chow mien was not particularly tasty and szechuan sauce was watery. second time the food was disappointing and the quality was poor. Won't be back.

Worst takeaway I've ever had. See pics for the quality you can expect. Might have caught them on a bad day as they got our order wrong but the food was just dreadful.

Absolutely fantastic food. The salt and chilli chicken and king prawn Cantonese were outstanding.

Horrible service. Phoned the shop to ask if their curry sauce was suitable for vegetarians, was told yes, then said oh so theres no chicken stock, she then say yes theres chicken stock, which makes it not suitable for vegetarians. Also, my brother ordered a special curry with NO onions, and was given a beef curry with so many onions.

This is the best Chinese takeaway in the West coast the food is absolutely fantastic. Very friendly service . Might have a wee wait but believe me it's well worth it . The best chicken mushroom I've ever tasted

Had no menu, could not find any menu or delivery service online. Tried to order beef curry and a chips and curry sauce. Guy on the phone said it would be £13.90, when I questioned why it was so expensive, he said "ok, I cancel order, you never phone here again".Will absolutely be telling everyone about this experience.

Ive been eating top quality food from Pak Lee for 40 years.. and if thats not the highest recommendation I can give, then I dont know what more I can say to commend the best Chinese takeaway in the district.
