Seaview Cafe in Inverclyde
Where is Seaview Cafe?
🏠 Bayview, Shore Rd, Wemyss Bay PA18 6AR
"The Seaview Cafe has long been established and recognised as a feature of Wemyss Bay. Located opposite the Wemyss Bay Rail and Ferry terminals, it has been enjoyed by locals, commuters and tourists alike as a stop off for coffees, snacks and light meals. In March 2012 Mearns T McCaskie Quality Butchers, long established in the adjoining premises to the Cafe since 1935, acquired the Cafe with the aim of transforming the Seaview and the butchers into a destination for lovers of quality food & wine. In July 2012 the doors opened to the new look Cafe and Bistro where we want to offer customers whether it's sit in or take away the finest quality coffee and food available."

Had breakfast there on a Saturday with only one table left, which is always a good sign. Full breakfast comes with toast but I noticed some people had changed that to a roll...nice touch. Very enjoyable meals and nice staff.

Great place to stop for a coffee and cake or a meal before getting on the ferry opposite or after getting off the ferry. We stopped for coffee, deluxe hot chocolate and cakes which were very tasty but lots of other guests had a meal, which also looked very nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.Small free car park next to the Cafe or a pay and display along the road. After our snack we had a look around the old station right opposite the Cafe.

McCaskies do absolutely the best haggis I have ever eaten. They have provided me my haggis (meat and veggie haggis) for Burn's Supper for year's now - shipped to Bristol where I live and I' (and all my guests) have been 100% satisfied every time - thank you McCaskies!

Not so generous portion sizes on some meals despite paying full price

Stopped here for lunch before a ferry crossing. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Food was superb, service was brilliant. Cakes were also really really good. A wee gem of a place.

Lovely place to stop opposite Ferry terminal. Food freshly prepared and of high quality. Hygiene standards excellent - cafe has been totally refurbished as have the toilets- it was my first visit since lockdown and restrictions lifted. Adjacent shop well worth a visit- quality of butcher meat excellent, clientelle travel miles for his produce. I think he does online packages but we'll worth visiting!

I was pleasantly surprised with this lovely little place! The food was delicious! The staff were extremely friendly and the place was well set out, clean and tidy. The prices were very good for the quality of food! At first I was a little disappointed there was no kids menu (having 3 young children this could have been extremely expensive) but thankfully after speaking to the waitress she advised the kitchen do offer a few small options at their discretion. The youngest was very happy with his sausage, chips and beans 😊 we will most definitely be back and have recommended it to anyone visiting the area!

This is a great stop off especially for breakfast. I would definitely recommend the pancakes which are very well cooked, fluffy and delicious. I would personally like a little more bacon as I’d got through all of my bacon with a single pancake and had two pancakes left over devoid of accompanying bacony goodness. That being said the bacon straddled that miraculous margin of being just crisp enough to be satisfyingly crunchable without getting to the point of having even a hint of charcoalness. Which just made me wish I had just a few extra rashers even more. All in all, worth a visit.

Best full Scottish Breakfast you can experience. Top quality ingredients, which you can purchase next door in the butchers shop. Turns out they have won lots of awards for their breakfast items. For those not up to the "full Monty" a selection of smaller breakfast items are available up to noon. A regular lunch / afternoon tea menu is available after then although there is an all day breakfast option available.
