I would recommend The Tontine Hotel in Greenock to everyoneIt's bright, well cared for and welcoming. The staff are all very friendly and the food is great. We have used The Tontine for many years for wedding, christenings and special birthdays also just casual meals. I have never had any reason to complain. It's a great asset to the area.

I loved the ambiance of the rooms downstairs , including an unexpected cocktail bar. The bedrooms were fit for purpose and clean , a bit on the noisy side but then sound insulation did not exist when it was built so manage your expectations.

This place is in great need of a complete overhaul. No hot breakfast, bathroom door did not close,walls were paper thin,hope the guy in the next room gets better soon sounded like a nasty cough 😳

Stayed overnight for work on a very off season Thursday night. Room a little tired - the bed and bathroom were new, but the rest of the furniture not. A touch chilly on arrival. Clean and tidy and generally in good shape aside from the old furnishing.

We booked tontine for our Golden wedding dinner and drinks from the very start we were looked after professionally by Bethany nothing was you much trouble for her she was amazing put us at ease We had a great dinner most every guest commented on it s d the staff wre excellent Highly recommended 5 stars 🌟

The room was OK but the food served in the restaurant should be improved. The meat i ordered was dry and tasteless, the dessert was burned at the bottom. Thumbs down for two out of two, have I been maybe unlucky or is it the standard?

Recently celebrated my 50th birthday at 1808. The food and service was fab…staff very attentive and friendly! A truly great venue and would definitely recommend. Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks again!!
