Big Red's Diner in North Lanarkshire

Sat outside with the dog and had a lovely lunch... I can recommend the BRB sausage roll. Service was great and staff very friendly, lovely cakes and little gift shop. Will definitely be back.

Love this place for a stop and refreshments. Large choice of speciality teas, lovely coffee, delicious home baking and a wide choice of breakfast and lunch options. Just the ticket after a satisfying dog walk.

Popped in to use toilet , bought some nice apple juice chocolate and cards. Cakes looked really good, liked the note saying if you are only here to use toilet please put something in charity box. Pity the pie shack was shut this visit, think it's shut for winter

Have been here several times and usually we are treated politely. However on this occasion, when eating outside, unlike other customers also eating outside, the server interrupted our meal with 'do you mind paying now' and put the card reader in front of my face. Very intrusive and humiliating, and we felt discriminated against. I complained and was given what felt like a superficial apology and offered a cup of coffee which I didn't want as we had just had drinks with our lunch.The vegan panini was nice if expensive, and the woodland walks are pleasant but watch for small stumps in the paths as you could trip over. All in all we feel very sad about our treatment, based perhaps on our appearance (my partner is a male with long hair). I am not sure we'll be going back.

Good friendly service, nice food in simple clean surrounding. I had the pulled pork and apple my wife and friends, soup and sausage roll. Nice lunch. Nicely presented at a good price

The best Pancakes with Bacon and Maple Syrup I have ever been served. Delishious crisp bacon with fabulous fluffy pancakes. We will be back.

Just stopped off on the way back from Edinburgh, so glad I did... what a wonderful stop off.eat drink, have a nice walk through the nearby woods. While eating prose the Scottish crafts and gifts on display.. so unique. Loved this place, will be coming back again when local. The staff and surroundings are first rate and the home cooked food... yum yum just like the old days, no fuss n tasty..
