Friendly staff good prices not too busy

Traditional pub vibe with a classic Wetherspoons formula. A very well oiled machine , always clean, always good service, top quality pub grub, and excellent value for money! There is a really nice atmosphere to the pub with people of all ages mixing and relaxing and having fun. Highly recommended.

Was working in the area so went here for some tea time food. Spoons prices are set at a certain level , so no one is expecting Michelin star food.I ordered a mixed grill with a jacket potatoe.Accidents happen and the meal was cooked with chips. The waiter noticed and asked if we wanted the chips or indeed wait for a jacket potatoe.I asked to wait however the food was re heated once the jacket was ready. The mixed grill looked like it had been on a BBQ for 6 hours and the meat was rock hardIt really was over cooked. I was Hungary so I persevered with eating it.My experience was only for one evening so I don't know if the food is always this bad but I'm not going back to find out.Prices are exceptionaly reasonable. Table service was good. Quality of cooked food is below average on the night

Breakfast was served quickly and all items were hot. Only one coffee machine in use so a bit of time spent queueing but overall enjoyed the visit.

·

Poor atmosphere. Decor needs updating. Cheap booze.

·

Price of drinks very cheap. Spacious bar. No faults whatsoever.

Popped in yesterday just after twelve for Sunday lunch. No fish, no pizza, no beans, no bacon, no pear and apple juice, app not working to order from table. A bit of a disastrous Sunday lunch. I know the deliveries can't go through to some places but come on, surely they could have got things like beans and bacon from a local supermarket or put a sign up telling customers of limited menu.On the plus side the girl who served us was very nice but doubt if we will be back

It took a while for food to arrive, I had fish, chips and peas. The fish was fine, the chips , some were only warm and some warmer. Peas were really cold, service was good though

Went in and sat at table. Tried to get on there web site to order web site not working. Then tried to get one any member of staffs attention never worked. So had to walk up to bar and ask if someone could come and take order then waited another 15 min for someone to come over.so when order came it was fish and it was horrible all soggy on bottom chips frozen again and mushy peas you could definitely tell they are out a tin. If I could give a zero I would will not be back.

Part of the wetherspoons chain. They have a large and varied menu, with breakfast before noon. It is reasonably priced and the food is of a reasonable quality. There is a large selection of beers, ales and spirits, all at very good prices. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful.
