Lovely hotel excellent for M&D's literally 2min walk away. Family rooms clean and comfortable. Elma - receptionist 5Star , nothing too much trouble, true professional with excellent customer services skill. Sadly restaurant manager on 19th didn't share skills, rude, clearly unhappy a "large group" popped in for dinner. Felt very unwelcome.

Reception staff was amazing. Restaurant on the other hand. A lady in the restaurant (manager i think) was more interested in telling us how they can't get staff. Our food was disgusting. Her reply was well i don't cook the food. That was dinner. Breakfast the next morning was a bit better tasting until my brother in law got his toast and it was mouldy. We gave up at that point. This was a gift we got my sister and brother in law and was completely ruined by your restaurant.

For the price with a Vitality Expedia discount, the room itself was good value for money, I would score it a 4/5.However, the food was not up to standard at all. Neither the dinner, nor the breakfast wasn’t very nice and barely edible.Maybe a different chef cooks the room service as some of the restaurant pics looked very nice. What we got served was not.I would rate the food a 2/5 so giving it an overall 3 only I’m afraid.

I stayed here for the first time with my husband and really enjoyed it. The staff were all lovely. Gary at reception was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. I thought he was the manager. Hes very professional and we looking forward to returning.

My favorite place in Strathclyde Park, ideal pit stop for a reviving coffee, while on a circuit of the Park. Staff friendly, service excellent, coffee hits the spot. In addition on one visit unbeknownst to me I dropped a valuable bracelet. Two days later I visited the Alona to have the bracelet returned to me by the manager. I cannot praise the staff and management highly enough, as the bracelet is of great sentimental. The Alona Hotel is a great spot, with even greater staff.
