"TJ Fryers chip shop was founded in 1995 by the Loia family consisting of Carmela, Joe and Telia. The shop’s name originated from combining the initials of Telia and Joe. Previously to this, the Loia family had its roots in the famous “Gnarra’s” chip shop in Harthill which was ran by the family for three generations before treading on new territory in Airdrie and haven’t looked back. Our focus is to serve the best quality fresh produce sourced locally as possible using hand filleted, angel cut Haddock as its star attraction, and to provide customer satisfaction and a friendly warm welcome."

Quick service, even though they are following the Covid guidelines which necessitate customers standing outside until their order no is called. Food was tasty and hot. Staff very pleasant. Prices very competitive.

I only ever get the large battered fish and chips here and for the most part it's always well cooked and tasty. Every so often they can be a little stingy with their chips on busy days, but still a decent chip shop.

We really thought we fund the one but on Thursday 1st July 2021 that happy idea soon became a question mark on the Friday 2nd July 2021 as like with many other fast food establishment myself hubby and the dog had upset tummies as the last few times using TJ Fryers everything was great the flavor if the fish and batter were great but on Friday I noticed the fish was stronger in smell (fishy F**** Time lol ) so won't be using them for a wee while so the search goes on

We have had special fish&chips the last two weeks I would go to say they are the best we have had for a long long time the fish are done to perfection the chips are yummy cant wait till we call again keep up the good work

Good, tasty chippy. Only ever ordered fish, sausage and fritters but been the best in the area I've tried over the years. Sometimes the chips are package separate from the fish which seems like a waste of packaging but maybe enough folk have requested it to make it easier to do than not.

Starting eating from tj fryers during lockdown and can honestly say there hasn't been a single time we've been disappointed in the standard and quality of all they produce. Fish and chips are really tasty, and the pizzas are just like you get in a first class Italian restaurant. If you haven't tried them its time you did.
