Went to Amaretto tonight. 1st class all round from staff , service and food Brilliant. One small gripe. House wine ÂŁ20 just a bit over priced. But overall cant complain

My friend and I popped in for a coffee and cake here today. It wasn’t overly busy, and we had chosen to go here as we thought with it being an Italian restaurant, that the coffee would be of a slightly higher standard than Starbucks etc.. how very wrong we were!We ordered 2 lattes and a slice of Lemon Loaf to share - as it looked like a fair size of cake on display. When the coffee’s arrived, my friend and I had a sip and immediately both agreed that they tasted vile. It was like warm water with a faint taste of coffee. When we advised the waitress of this, instead of offering to make 2 coffees from fresh, she decided to bring us an extra shot of coffee to add in. This only proceeded to make the coffee’s taste even worse. Literally the worst coffee I’ve ever tasted. I’m not sure how someone can get a simple latté so very wrong? Maybe they had used coffee that was meant to go in a filter, and just added hot water like instant coffee? It was very bitter and unenjoyable. I decided to choose water instead, and the waitress said the coffee would be deducted from our bill. The slice of lemon loaf arrived, and it was pretty thin and small. I now wish I’d taken a photo as proof, but was so desperate to get rid of the vile coffee taste that I couldn’t hold off. The cake itself was ok. We got a literal dot of icing on the top- and none of the exotic swirls of icing that were on display! We asked for the bill, which had both coffees on it, then after pointing this out to the waiter, he went and changed it and then he realised he’d forgotten to add the cake on - which was £4!!! for the most unimpressive slice of cake ever! I had thought that both coffee’s would have been deducted, as my friend said to the waitress that she’d keep hers and try to drink it, even though it was pretty disgusting. When we paid the bill, we said to the waiter that we won’t be back again after today’s experience, and he couldn’t have looked less bothered.I was at Starbucks In Hillington earlier today with my daughter, and we really enjoyed our Iced Mocha’s, the service was fabulous and the overall positive experience will definitely take us back there.

Friendly, professional staff overall. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Good choice of wines. Lacked authenticity and a bit pricey for the quality. Food was bland, lacked salt in the pasta and the cherry cheesecake had no cherries it was more a chocolate mousse.

Very good place to eat. Three of us dined here, booking by phone only 10 minutes before we arrived. It's a big place and impressively covid compliant in terms of restaurant layout, staff training, hand sanitiser availability and signage. The staff were all welcoming too. Then came the food. We chose pizza, burger and pasta. My description makes them sound a bit bland although they were anything but. All dishes, including our shared starters, were well presented, piping hot and very tasty. The staff were always attentive and accommodating. The price was absolutely fine too when taking account of the quality. The restaurant has its own free parking with ample free street parking nearby. A cracking, atmosphericvenue which we look forward to returning to. I would certainly recommend Amaretto.

Visited this evening as a party of 6, great food, great service and friendly, helpful waiting staff.Massive prawns, perfect portion sizes and tasted authentic- even the tiramisu, which often tastes a bit samey in many places; here it tasted as if made on the premises. Looking forward to dining here again.

Nice restaurant and bar with a reasonable menu and prices. Staff friendly but could be a little more attentive. Food is good but service can be variable when busy. Children are welcome and the place is very clean so would recommend a visit

Wonderful Italian restaurant in the heart of Bridge of Weir. Staff are very attentive and welcoming, food is delicious, excellent range of pizzas, pastas and other main dishes. Desserts are a must! Will be back to continue try more dishes soon!

Lovely food. Attentive and professional staff. The reason I can't give this place 5 stars is due to the loose floorboards where I was sitting. There is a narrow, busy passage that staff were moving back and forward. On which there is a loose floorboard that moved my seat up and down each time someone walked on it.This felt like being on a boat and really detracted from the experience.Oh, it also seems a few of the patrons didn't feel the need to wear a mask while moving around the restaurant. Staff need to be calling out this behaviour.
