Caledonia Bar in Renfrewshire

The menu looks good. The food is not so great and service was weak. Had salmon here before which was tiny so gave it a miss for a few visits. Thought I'd give it another shot. Waiter was very disinterested. I asked for sparkling water, he didn't open the bottle and couldn't be bothered to pass it over to the front of the bar. He walked off. Being a bit short I had to reach on tip toes to get the drink - grrr. Flatbread was alright but lots of 'edge' with no topping. Huge amounts of dried oregano to give it flavour. No return..

I visited here while waiting for a flight. I only ordered a coffee (flat white) so my rating is only based on the coffee. In short, coffee was terrible, a load of over frothed milk made by a guy who had no idea how to make a flat white. Don't call yourself a café/bar if your staff can't make a coffee. It's not that hard but it's not that easy either so train your staff correctly!

Shockingly bad and eye-wateringly expensive - inedible 'flatbread', a microscopic portion of cold, soggy wedges (pictured), a glass of wine and a glass of cider - a pound shy of £30. Ripoff city.Add in filthy tables and a young staff that are out of their depth and scarcely managed and you get a total mess.I previously thought my worse ever dining experience was at the James Martin Kitchen just along from the Caledonia Bar also airside at Glasgow Airport, but I have to say this was even worse. Avoid, avoid, avoid. You are genuinely better off with a cold sandwich out of Boots.

I said I had a gluten intolerance but was fine to eat some of it (just not a load of bread or pasta). They ran through a whole bunch of “are you sure” and would only serve me what I wanted if I signed a disclaimer. I signed it. Then a manager came over for some more “are you sure”. When I said with some exasperation that I was an adult and fully capable of making my own decisions, and that an intolerance was not an allergy, she informed me she was “saving my life”. Given the filthy tables of course she may well have been right. I cancelled my order and left. Whatever “training” they have been through, customer dignity and common sense appears to have been missed off it.

The place is filthy! The Seats have never been wiped! The tables are sticky with alien marks that have not been polished in a while 🤯The music unbearably bad for morning hours! I wonder who's the genius that picked the music for the establishment...hopefully does not get a full wage for that. There is a certain way to decide music according to the place, location, type of customer. I do travel a lot and I see this bar often at different times of the day 🤯On the positive the staff are polite and happy to serve.

The "full Scottish breakfast" at the Caledonian Bar, had no beans and no black pudding, so not a full Scottish breakfast. Only one square sausage and one bacon, compared to other restaurants here, although they don't burn it like others.

Very dirty place. Cappuccino prepared in the worst possible way.

I used to love this place, tasty food and drinks with a good view when killing time at the airport. It’s been around 2 years since I was last here though and the food is awful! First time I’ve ever had tasteless haggis,the Bon bons are disintegrating as soon as you touch them,almost inedible! The chorizo in red wine is also incredibly bland, a dish usually packed with flavour! Oh and I had to clear my own table of dirty glasses,not as if there’s no staff on, 3 of them behind the bar more concerned with having a chat!

This is a nice place to chill with a cup of tea or a coffee before your flight. It's not too expensively priced (for an airport), the seating is comfortable and well spaced out. It is my 'go to' cafe when I'm in Glasgow Airport. It sells food and alcohol too so all tastes and needs are catered for.

Dirty. I had tea and the cup was cracked and dirty, the milk jug and teapot crusted with old tea and milk stains. I can't believe staff are not ashamed to place such obviously filthy crockery in front of people. Staff were rude and cold when I complained and did not apologise. Awful. I was only going to complain about the supposed 'table service' which doesn't really exist and staff ignore it when you try to catch their eye. But it got worse. Avoid.
