Luna Rossa Renfrew in Renfrewshire

Took my husband here for his 60th birthday with our family. I left ballon’s for the table which wasn’t put out ready for us when we turn up. The food wasn’t brilliant and the service, as I had to ask for the birthday cake. Then I had to go back to restaurant to ask for my deposit as it wasn’t reduced from the finally bill. If I never return to this restaurant they would have kept my deposit. Absolutely shocking service, that the manger said he never had my phone number which was totally wrong.

Very relaxed atmosphere, staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is lovely. There were 15 in the party in total, everyone enjoyed the food they ordered. 👌🏻

Macaroni cheese is absolutely fantastic, we could not have asked for more, creamy, cheesy, perfect portions and super fresh! Spaghetti Carbonara was the same!, absolutely fantastic. Garlic bread and chips are also just divine 😋 😍

**Avoid if you have allergies!!!**My partner and I made a reservation tonight after checking the menu online to make sure there were enough options for my partner who is allergic to alcohol. He spotted a risotto which had no alcohol listed as an ingredient on the menu. When we got to the restaurant, my partner asked to make sure and the waiter told him there was in fact alcohol in the risotto. My partner told him he couldn't have any alcohol but the waiter told him it was OK because the alcohol gets burnt out! I asked if the dish could be freshly made without the wine but we were told the food is premade, not freshly cooked! So although the menu states to tell you waiter if you have allergies, they won't be able to cater for you anyway!! We then decided to leave as the only thing my partner could eat was fish goujons and the bartender had the nerve to still charge us for bread and soft drinks. First and last time coming here!

Brilliant Italian, food was excellent (both pasta and pizza). The cocktail menu is vast and all are fantastic! Highly recommended.

After a 12 hr shift I had intended to make my partner sirloin steak etc for a birthday retreat but wasn't in the mood. So, en-route home I popped into Luna Rossa to order 2 with intention of getting 2 lovely steaks with sauces etc etc.It was evening and I asked if I could come back in an hr to pick up order, no they would be closing.. Fair enough, I'll wait. 2 ten ounce steaks please, "erm, dunno what size they are) checks.. They have only one steak in the freezer. From start it felt he just didn't want to take my takeaway food order. Good to see in these times that this place is doing so well that it can turn custom away.. 12 or so customers were still eating in.I won't be back here.. What a, let down!! 😠

They do a cracking wee lunch. We usually have 2 courses for £9.50. Excellent food. Nice surroundings. Great service from the staff. Right in the middle of the town centre too. Highly recommended 👌
