I have eaten here a few times over the years and it is gradually getting worse. I ate here on friday 16th Sept with my 4 year old daughter and it was very poor. Poppadoms and spiced onions were fine, chicken tikka was dry and over cooked, malaider sauce was so bad I could only taste the first spoonfull, rice was dry and clumpy and salad was drenched in a sour sauce that made it non-edible. The meal was brought to the table with no plates to serve the food onto. Two tables next to the bar that are used by the owners/staff resembled a messy living room. The corridor to the toilets had towels/table cloths lying in a heap on the floor and the toilets themselves are a health hazard - probably the worst toilets I have ever been in here or abroad. I felt sorry for the waiting staff as it is obvious the owners/management do not train them properly. Such a dissapointment as they used to serve nice food here.

Came in at 1.30 on Monday 4th July. Poor toilet conditions, very little choice of foods, no chinease section, rice was very hard and crunchy, no deserts until 2pm, even then, the cakes where poorly displayed. Tables where dirty, and the floor needed a good sweep, The bar looked a mess. Stood for at least 2 minutes on entry before being seen to, staff manager or supervisor was wearing casual clothing (black and white long top, blue dirty jogging bottoms, navy blue running shoes) I really do not recommend eating at this place, I'd like to return some time to see if they change anything for the better... The only 2 things I liked (hence the 2 stars) where the cheap prices, and customer service... Other than. Thay, stay well clear

Not a good experience. Flies hovering around the food and not a great atmosphere. The food tasted OK but we were very dubious about the hygiene of the place and were glad to leave.

Wasn't sure what to expect hadn't been before and some of the reviews where quite poor reports but 6 of us went and the staff were so good at letting us know about the menu the start just kept coming and was absolutely delicious we might even have overstayed our welcome but not a word was said to us in fact they made us more coffee I could go on but enough said and my wife got a special veggie starter well done all at the Sitar thanks for a really nice night.

Lovely food would order from them again, was told by the delivery man that I could've saved a bit of money by ordering directly from them instead of through just eat though

A plate of oil and when we complained (the first time I have ever complained eating out) I was shouted at by manager, pointing his finger in my face. 3times I asked him politely to stop. I am utterly disgusted when we were leaving, after being forced to pay for curdled curries(thought it was supposed to be a world buffet but everything was Indian) and our cans of juice were multipack ones (ILLEGAL!!!) On our way out we passed a couple coming back to get the money they had paid for the dinner they had the week before. Think they had reported the restaurant. Will be onto environmental health dept Renfrewshire first thing tomorrow. Sorry it has come to this when I only went to eat out but I am DISGUSTED have never been spoken to like a piece of dirt and forced to pay for something so poor but the manager was abusive and vile. This WILL be taken further. Tell everyone you know do not eat here unless you have a death wish. Ive spent all night being ill as well as my mumNOT eat here please don't take the chance. What a waste of money. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Previously enjoyed great food and service from the home delivery option however , after sending a meat curry as opposed to the requested vegetarian one for the 2nd , I feel very dissappointed by the service. As a result of having to wait for a resend of my vegetarian curry , the rice and naan were stone cold by the time it arrived. The woman who answered the phone when I called regarding the error , wasnt exactly helpful although i did get a muttered " sorry".The curry was seeping oil everywhere when it eventually arrived and I had to give the driver the meat curry sent in error so that the woman could see evidence of the error !!!The pakora was extremely salty and you couldve actually soled your shoes with the peshwari naan .Dont think i will be ordering from here again

Curry was curdled, staff were putting new curries into curries that had been sitting out for hours. Didn't smell right either
