I visited this pub yesterday after looking at reviews for various establishments in Paisley. It certainly lived up to the good comments I read. Nice atmosphere, very welcoming and pleasant staff, and a nice mix of clientele. The food was excellent and delivered quickly, and in all the experience was great. We will certainly be back. A big thank you to Liz and all her team..

Had a wonderful mothers day meal. Roast beef Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and veg. The roast beef was delicious. Service was great nice friendly staff especially Liz, she was lovely. Was then presented with a box of milk tray. My daughters and I had a good time thank you very much, hope to be back soon. Xx

Had a fab birthday meal in this great pub. There were 18 of us and Liz and her staff were excellent and very attentive. I also go here for gin lunches with my friends and we always have a great time. Great banter with the staff. Would highly recommend. Thank you again for our fabulous big birthday party.

Nice pub, great staff... Shame about the food! I visited as part of a family group of eight. I ordered steak pie on the recommendation of the waitress and I honestly wish I hadn't bothered. The pie arrived in a soggy heap on the plate with overcooked chips and broccoli all swimming in a puddle of gravy, with an additional pot of gravy dumped on the plate too. It had clearly been microwaved as the pastry was like wet cardboard... but was lukewarm at best. On the plus side, at least I had the sea of gravy to soften the rock hard chips. The only reason I didn't complain was we were in a rush to go to a show at Paisley Abbey and didn't have time to wait for more food. Some other family members had issues with their food too so I really wish we had said something at the time. ☹️👎

Good pub. Bar staff very pleasant and accommodating. Fish and chips was lovely. Sirloin not cooked as requested, asked for medium rare but came out well done, sent this back with second steak coming out without being rested so blood on my plate with raw part near the fat and centre. Shame as all the extras I got with steak were really nice, chips, tomatoes, mushrooms, squid and scampi. I would definitely return for food and drinks but wouldn't order the steak again.
