I had a home delivery from here a month ago. Vegan pizza and chips. It was great. This time I decided to pop in to place order. It took some time for my order to be ready. About 30 mins I reckon. This is ok. I'm patient. Sadly I noticed my fritters being dipped in the same batter as fish and then fried in the same oil as fish. So whilst having vegan options on my doorstep is great I reckon more attention to detail is needed. The pizza was great, as where the chips which were fried separately. Sadly my fritters went in the bin. This might not be a big problem to some people but I cannot see how that is vegan. On a plus for vegans...the chips are fried in veg oil and they do have other vegan options. I was too late and stuck for time to say anything. Maybe a training session is needed to prevent such things happening. This was my only negative.

Worst fish and chips I have ever had I went back in and told them so waited 25 minutes as well won't be back ever.

£12 for a 12 inch pizza, could count the toppings on one hand. I know times are hard but cmon ... Avoid like the plague

Delicious haggis and sausage rolls. Fantastic

One of the best fish and chip shops in the area. Fantastic mouth watering fried on the spot. Very fresh products and they even do fried mars bars.

Got a fish supper last night and it was completely inedible. There was a thin sliver of fish sandwiched in thick woolly, soft batter. I left it aside for the seagulls next morning and thought I would just enjoy the chips which looked okay. No such luck! The chips were tasteless no matter how much salt and vinegar I put on them and the potatoes seemed to be made from the same woolly felt as the batter. This is the first time I have ever felt hungry after a fish supper. The chips also went out for the seagulls. Not only am I angry about being ripped off, but I am sad that a once excellent chip shop is is now selling such offensive rubbish. I won't be back.

Lost for words. I used Justeat to place an order at this shop about two weeks ago. It was late at night and I was no doubt their last order. The driver was an hour late and the food was stone cold and dripping with oil. Everyone knows you can't reheat a chippy, it's just not the same.I phoned the shop straight away and got the phone put down on me. I was then contacted by a guy called "Freddie" who was very apologetic and said he couldn't send out another order as the fryers had been turned off so he said I would be given a refund which I though was pretty decent of him. A Liverpudlian guy (not sure who he was) then eventually gave me a cash refund in person and was also apologetic although he kept the delivery charge. I considered all was done and forgiven. However, a few days later this same Liverpudlian guy comes to my flat on a Sunday at dinner time harassing me for the money back as Justeat had apparently already refunded me as he saw it on his invoice. They didn't refund me, but had given me an account credit to use towards another food purchase. I wasn't aware of this at the time.I couldn't believe how unprofessional and bang out of order this was. I will not be using this chippy ever again, which is a shame as going by the reviews the food was probably decent had it been delivered on time.

Have been going on a regular basis since it opened and have found it to be excellentUntil tonight! Ordered a large fish supper and was told it was ready. I declined requested it to be freshly cooked and told them I would be back in ten minutes. Returned in 7 minutes got my supper headed home. Opened the supper to a soggy mess, definitely not freshly cooked and probably the same fish as I had seen before requesting a freshly Cooked supper. Took it back. The most annoying thing is that the manger was only interested in telling me how many fish suppers he sold in a week and did not listen to anything I said. Apparently never had a previous complaint. Are standards slipping?

Best fish I have ever tastes & the chips are out of this world! Always made fresh to order and I never mind the wait as I would rather wait for freshly fried fish! The pizzas are so tasty and the deals during the week are brilliant! Magic Mondays are my favourite! Best chippy in town!
