Lovely food, decent prices and really great staff! The team were so helpful, happy and friendly, even though they were rushing about on a very busy Sunday afternoon. They've been there for years and no wonder! Top class!

The food is OK but it's a bit expensive compared with other chip shops around and the portions where not all that great in comparison either. Good for a one off experience when visiting Balloch but I wouldn't recommend it as a regular place to eat. In terms of the taste of the food and how well its cooked got no complaints.

Extremely slow service, be prepared to spend 2 hours for simple f&c. Waitress is nice but got us to repeat our order 3 times. I would advise taking the takeout if you still want their food. Not recommended

Absolutely amazing visit, staff is absolutely amazing and friendly, great food with great prices. Amazing look of the restaurant with matching colours, a lot of seating available for every group size and nicely displayed extras and the menu. Everything about this place is amazing but the highlight must be the hard working staff making sure every customer is satisfied and done it with a great and friendly matter.

On Saturday evening we had the misfortune to visit the Blue Lagoon in Balloch. On arrival there were two ladies and another waiting for their orders. We requested two double fish slices,, one with chips suppers and were advised there would be a short wait as four fish were fried for us - no problem as we were getting freshly cooked fish. The two ladies were receiving a large number of orders and refused to accept two fish which were already in the hot box, saying they had been there for some time,,receiving four new fish. Then the server prepared to give me two fresh and the two remaining fish, at which point I asked not to receive the two older fish as did the ladies. I took the view that we should have received the four fresh fried fish cooked for us. We were then informed there will be a further 10 minute wait. This waiting time was eventually more than fifteen minutes. When we got home with our suppers I was horrified to find that the box with the chips was swimming with oil, and oily partially cooked chips stuck together. Totally disappointed and disgusted with the mess in a box which proved inedible. The fish were hot and oily. Most of contents were disposed of into the bin. Had I not had so far to go back on a wet night I would have returned them to the shop for a refund. I believe I was probably given this poor service deliberately service because I insisted on the fresh fish did the customers before me. Totally disgusted and regretfully I cannot recommend this establishment at all for that reason. Beware of poor quality should you have reason to refuse to accept fish lying in the box for ages. With the price of food I expect to receive it well cooked and presented in good condition. This was sadly not what I received. Never again!

Visited on Friday the staff were all lovely especially the very happy lady on the till. It was my friends birthday and she wrote a little birthday note on her lid of her food. Very nice food highly recommend. Thankyou xx

Came here with boyfriend today, we were amazed at how nice the restaurant is for a chippy, really nicely done up and clean. Staff super friendly and professional. Fish and chips and scampi were great, really crispy. Cheeseburger was good. Would come here again. Surprised rating is only 4.1 stars!

Stopped in here after some hillwalking on the topped in here after some hillwalking on the weekend. First time coming in since it was bought over by blue lagoon and was pleasantly surprised. Interior decor was good and nice and clean.Fish and chips was good and made fresh to order. Nothing exceptional but not bad value (I had a large fish supper, bread & butter, tartare sauce, can of diet coke for about £12)I have to say the highlight for me was the young lady that greeted and served us. She was polite and engaging from the start, very friendly when taking our order and although kept busy, seemed to have real pride in her work and was happy making her customers happy. This is a bit of a rarity in the hospitality business nowadays so if her manager reads this, treat her well as she would be hard to replace!weekend. Since 1975 this place has been a Scottish tradition.Sanya who served us was so friendly and helpful, the portions where huge and food tasted delicious.Milkshake is 10/10 on presentation and flavour, so if you're passing by or interested pop in here and experience a REAL Scottish chip shop experience.
