Really want to give 3.5 stars, but it isn't an option so I'll go with 3.Staff were friendly and helpful, however food took a little while to come out the kitchen when it didn't seem overly busy.Starter I had smoked salmon, with little oatcakes and an apple sauce/coleslaw. It was quite nice, salmon was a little.. clumpy, and possibly lacking a little seasoning.Main I went for the haggis, neeps and tatties which was a large bowl, with 1/3rd of the bowl being a big clump of haggis, 1/3 swede, and 1/3 mashed potato. The dish seemed a bit simple and lacked finesse, but it wasn't bad.Dessert I had the toffee lumpy bumpy which was very nice.

4 Adults, 2 children on a Sunday evening. The same menu from march 2017 was produced. The staff are fantastic, friendly and attentive. Fish and chips, should be exactaly that not, Fish and french fries! The fish was not fresh and contained lots of bones. Tasteless really. The children ordered pizza. They received a ciabatta halved down the middle and sprinkled with cheese. Toasted cheese?? A very heavy menu for summer on the banks of the Loch. Such a shame! We will not be back.

The Kilted Skirlie was a beautiful, roomy restaurant with a peaceful atmosphere. Every table has a nice view of the loch and the mountains in the distance. The staff were very friendly, and the food was incredibly delicious. If I ever end up in that area again, I will be sure to make another appearance!

Very dated and not the cleanest establishment i have visited. Staff lacking attention and food very poor quality had more bones than fish on my plate. Also several items unavailable from main menu and desert menu, however other tables appeared to be able to order these items? and was only 2pm. Would not recommend. Very disappointing

Food was excellent, around £50 for 2 great steak meals with starters, staff were polite, view was incredible and decor a nice Scottish rustic look. Can't ask for much else.
