I was spending the weekend in Loch Lomond and wanted to try a local restaurant, after looking on Google I noticed that The Stables came out on top with the best reviews, so after a quick phone call we left our hotel and headed into Balloch, they are located in the city centre and have on site parking available which does get quite busy. The restaurant is quite large with plenty of seating available, the staff are so friendly and down to earth willing to answer any question and go the extra mile. Myself & my Girlfriend ordered the chicken goujons, which is usually a go to for us when we see it on a menu. It was really busy but the food was served in no time at all and tasted delicious, no meal is complete without desert, so a banana boat & a chocolate fudge cake sounded just what we were after. Once again served in no time at all considering they were really busy. All in all our experience was great: from the food to the really friendly staff it will definitely make us go back for more!

Me and my family are visiting from Glasgow for few nights and and a meal here and will definitely be back , would highly recommend food was very tasty and fresh only thing is wish I would’ve known about the pizza menu , but other than that food was amazing and staff where great.

My top place to eat in Balloch, serving a great set of hearty mains and delicious deserts. Have been twice, originally coming due to the positive reviews that are absolutely deserved. Great relaxed atmosphere and fantastic food.

brilliant experience, staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing also, would definitely recommend as they are dog friendly.

A descent, welcoming and friendly roundabout inn. The staff are very kind and nice. The food is okay. It is probably best to stay away from the crème brulé desert as it tasted stale and out of place. Also the burgers had few bits of gristle. We are giving 2 stars because the food had some issues and some of the photos look much better than they actually are. Overall, it was an okay experience but there is room for improvement.

One of the best steak in Scotland. We have been there with a group of six and all of us delighted with the service, atmosphere and the food itself.Definitely, a must go.

We booked a table for dinner guided by the website pictures. We were quite disappointed with the restaurant itself. They have two areas a restaurant area and a bar. The restaurant area looked nice and light with tables well dressed. I still don’t know why we were sat at the bar area- may be because we were wearing trekking clothes- . Same menu, same price but darker and bare tables. On the other hand the food was nice. The pies and soup were home made and very tasty. The waiter that served us very nice and pleasant. I don’t know his name but he was a male with white hair.

Absolutely delicious lunch today! Cooked to perfection and the flavours were beautiful! Chef even came out to speak to us about the dishes! Lovely touch! Will definitely return soon.

Absolutely delicious food at The Stables. My sister and I had spent the day at the local swimming with my niece and were looking for somewhere to get food. We phoned around and found The Stables where open and able to take us straight away at short notice. The waitress was so lovely, friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious with big portions. I got the chicken and leek pie with mash and my sister got the cajun chicken pasta. We shared a chocolate fudge cake which was beautiful! I highly recommend this little gem if your looking for a friendly and warm restaurant with delicious food. 5 out of 5. I will be back.
