Am Politician in Eilean Siar

Great place to go for a meal, friendly and welcoming staff, excellent menu and the food is amazing, lovely view over the sea as well. I would highly recommend stopping here if you are in eriskay.

Lovely friendly, cosy, wee pub on the most beautiful island. We messaged ahead, probably didn’t need to in MArch, but I guess in season this would be packed. The food etc was lovely and service excellent. Ask to see the whisky bottle from Whisky Galore!

Lovely home cooked food, nice welcome. Very quiet in January & storm due. Would like to visit again in better weather. Beautiful location.

Great food and service! Scallops amazing and best fish and chips ever! Also, they have downpour gin, the locally distilled gin!

food was lovely, staff were kind and friendly. lovely beach at the rear or the restaurant if you liked a walk before or after your meal.

There is only was word that can describe the Am politician, "perfect". The place is very nicely decorated and offers a great selection of cold drinks and hot food.All the staff is very friendly.If you like whisky and history, the best part of the Am Politician is that you get the chance to see real relics from the SS politician wreckage.The Am politician is a must whenever you visit the Isle of Eriskay. I'm looking forward to visiting it again.

Great casual dining place, half pub half restaurant. Got a table by emailing on the same day. Location is amazing right at the beach, stunning sunset views. Great fresh seafood, fast friendly service and a decent whisky & gin selection. Certainly one of the better places in the outer isles. Wifi works too!

Best dining experience I’ve had in the outer Hebrides. Lots of gluten free options and the crab starter and scallops main was excellent. Lovely setting and friendly staff. It was a welcome dinner stop especially as there are currently no other food options when cycling from Castlebay.

Superb pub serving really tasty meals at fair prices. We didn't have a booking but that wasnt any bother. Service prompt, friendly and lively bar mean this place has character. Surrounding area beautiful too.
