Had a lovely take away this week, lovely authentic naan bread and crispy poppadoms with a tasty chutney, couldn't fault it, thanks 😀

·

We usually sit in for our meal, Saturday night we took advantage of the great 20%off after 8pm takeaway deal! So glad we did! The food was amazing as always. Both my wife and I and the two 13 year old lads we fed were well impressed with the meals. Great taste and brilliant service. Can't wait for my next Bangla meal!

Had the BEST curry from Bangla Spice this weekend, soo tasty, really rich sauces, generous portions of meat cooked to perfection, super fresh naan breads, the staff are lovely and friendly- will definitely be back!

·

Used to love the food from here but ordered take-away last week and very disappointed! No taste to the curry, rice was a dried out lump soft popadoms and there was about half a teaspoon of coconut in the naan. Not good!!

·

Fresh cooked food which was tasty but the dishes did not contain any heat at all. We had to ask for fresh chillies to add to our dishes to add spice. On the menu there is a spice rating from light coloured chillies to dark coloured chillies and all our dishes were dark to represent heat but the heat was missing.

Another nice curry from Bangla Spice, a bit busy on Saturday night, got served just over 5 mins late, nice and pleasant staff, a good place to have a meal either in the restaurant or having a carry out, hence will be back for sure.

On holiday and for our last night we decided to have a curry from Bangla Spice. We ordered a Mushroom Pakora starter but unfortunately we received a mixed Pakora starter instead. We couldn't go back as we were in our motorhome and parked up for the night. Quite disappointing as I'm a vegetarian. On the plus side the currys we ordered were fantastic. Really fresh and tasty 😊

We ordered a Chilli Ghost Chicken Tikka and Vegetable Passanda from Bangla. The food was fantastic, perfectly spiced and well presented. A great restaurant that’s well worth visiting if in Stornoway.

Would definitely come back to explore more dishes. Lovely setting, friendly service and unusually BYOB and a licensed bar. Food was generally very good but some dishes we chose were too sweet for my taste. Mixed pakora was crisp and tasty. Special lamb curry with chickpeas was a highlight. Good pilau rice. Garlic naan was okay but slightly overdone. Prawn korma had a generous quantity of prawns but a tad sweeter than I'm used to.

Ordered the Honolulu pizza "Don Ho" style! Outstanding vacuum packed sushi in the lobby vending machines. I will return after I leave the hospital. Had my stomach pumped. Not blaming this place.
