Delicious curry, lovely people and place. Not the cheapest, but consistent with the quality of food (we did also have the expensive options from the menu). Particular highlight being the haddock pakora. Too eager to eat to take photos.

Absolutely outstanding, had the scallop pakora and monkfish dopiaza. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Best place my husband and I have ate at on Barra. We have enjoyed the Indian options, the seafood options, cocktails, and dessert. If you want takeaway be aware they have time slots.

A fantastic place with great food and wonderful staff. Local produce used in an exciting mix of ways. So good that when we ate there on a Wednesday we immediately booked again for the Friday night. And they have their own Spotify playlist.

First came here in 2016 and as amazing now as ever. The scallop pakora was amazing and the chicken saag equally amazing. They now offer 2 sittings at 6pm and 8pm and you will need to book in advance. Takeaway is also available before 6 and between 7 and 8. Absolute must if you can get in when on Barra.

Best curry in a long time. I absolutely loved this place and the scallop pakoras is the one to try. The lamb bhuna was my other favourite dish. The restaurant is small so booking a table is a must. If you're expecting table cloths and candles this is not for you. If you're after good Indian food and friendly staff get yourself down there because I will certainly be going back soon.

Cute little restaurant at the start of our cycling tour. Had their signature fish curry which was well spiced and suitable for gluten free diners. Very small place so we booked in advance and managed to get a table outside.

Scallop Pakora. If that isn’t enough to convince you to go, read on.I love a hidden gem, and I think I just found a diamond. The food is incredible - probably the best Indian meal I have ever had by a comfortable measure. The Punjabi curry is insanely good and all the little extras (popadoms, raita etc) were especially delicious. Even the korma (normally a curry for those ‘not that into’ Indian food) packed a flavoursome punch. The customer service was a solid 10/10. The staff were so friendly, kind and attentive.Thank you to everyone at Kisimul Cafe :) I’ll be recommending your restaurant to everyone I know.

We'd read about the fish curry being amazing before we'd arrived on Barra and knew we had to try it, we were not disappointed at all, well deserving of its award winning status. The Cullen skink soup was simply incredible. Amazing food and great service. A must for all who visit Barra.

Lovely place with very friendly staff and good extensive menu. More affordable when compared to the other places to eat. Prime spot too, next to the castle and sea.
