Best fish and chips in town. Milkshake and slush puppies available :) very busy chip shop :) now best to phone and pre order as it is that busy. Worth the wait. Peak times is pre order only.

Went for lunch, chips where very good but batter on my haggis and my wife's black pudding was far far too crispy

One of the best chippies I have had in a long time! Hardly any grease on the food and the taste was delicious, thank you, will totally be back!

Standards have certainly dropped since before covid. £8 for reheated chips and fish full of bones very disappointing

Just been here this evening after arriving in Stornoway, wanting something quick/simple and not having a restaurant reservation. Reviews are generally favourite so opted to try; noted they advise to phone through orders until 7pm, so we hung fire until after 8 thinking we'd avoid "peak time". Went in to place our order - haddock and chips, haggis and chips and a carton of mushy peas. The guy took my order and advised to come back in 10 minutes. We went for a short walk and did just that. Returning after 10 minutes I was told that they were just waiting for the haggis to be finished. We waited around another 10 minutes and then were given our order. We walked down to the nearby communal area with seats and tables to eat our food and realised that the haggis wasn't haggis, it was chicken - four pieces of battered spiced chicken. Pretty disappointed as I really don't know how they'd got that wrong. As for the rest, the fish was adequate but not great and the chips were overcooked and did not appear to be freshly cooked. All in all, very disappointing given the generally positive reviews.

Freshly prepared cod and haddock using locally caught delicious fish is all you should expect and Cameron’s excels and provides fulfillment. Delightful staff is fast friendly and efficient with a smile, busy at times but absolutely worth any minor inconvenience their popularity incurs.

Had some great food from Cameron's Chip Shop tonight. Cod and chips, and battered haggis and chips, all non-greasy and delicious. Only criticisms are that only one of the meals was sold in a recyclable container and that the salt and vinegar on both meals couldn't be tasted, otherwise great and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Good value and good food, freshly cooked and served by friendly staff. You have to pay some extra for sauce but that's not the end of the world.Chunky and filling. The sausage was actually ok. Limited seating inside, but public benches around outside.
