Excellent food and excellent service. What an amazing place. We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep and we can thoroughly recommend this as a go to restaurant on the Isle of Barra. Professional staff friendly and service was excellent. The food is to die for the fish in particular with the Indian spices is truly amazing. 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 👍😎🙏

We had an absolutely lovely meal at Cafe Kisimul. The food was incredible, the drinks were fantastic and the service was second to none! Special shout out to Anna and Will who served us this evening - cocktails were superb. If you are in Barra, you need to come here!

A superb tasting range of dishes with local produce. Barra lamb and local fish pakora. Always a busy place, for very good reason.

·

Nice place to have a curry made from local fish or lamb. You should make a reservation as these guys get busy ;-)

·

Though very busy, very busy indeed they took time to help us, being able to offer a take away option at an agreed return time. This was well received and enjoyed as the Sun set @ Wave Crest Campsite - another Recommendation 🤙

Lovely curries. Not cheap, and a bit tight on the chutney with the poppadoms. Reservations pretty much essential, a few days ahead if you want a choice of times.

·

Absolutely outstanding, had the scallop pakora and monkfish dopiaza. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Delicious curry, lovely people and place. Not the cheapest, but consistent with the quality of food (we did also have the expensive options from the menu). Particular highlight being the haddock pakora. Too eager to eat to take photos.

First came here in 2016 and as amazing now as ever. The scallop pakora was amazing and the chicken saag equally amazing. They now offer 2 sittings at 6pm and 8pm and you will need to book in advance. Takeaway is also available before 6 and between 7 and 8. Absolute must if you can get in when on Barra.

Best curry in a long time. I absolutely loved this place and the scallop pakoras is the one to try. The lamb bhuna was my other favourite dish. The restaurant is small so booking a table is a must. If you're expecting table cloths and candles this is not for you. If you're after good Indian food and friendly staff get yourself down there because I will certainly be going back soon.
