We came today to the Lobster Pot, I booked online and was a bit disappointed to go in and receive a table right next to the bar - the waitress offered to move us, but was shouted at by the manager that 'they weren't able to do that' so we accepted the table - it just meant we were right on the path to the wee shop with people coming in past us constantly and also half way through our meal two guys came in and propped themselves up right next to our table - fair enough, there's little bar space, it just meant that we could hear each other's conversation really well.As it was in the shade and near the door to the shop, it was also a very cold table so our food didn't stay hot for long and we were glad we brought jackets in with us, even though it was warm outside. There were tables around us that had been reserved, but no one showed up to take them and we weren't offered to get moved and I was a bit miffed when a couple with no booking turned up and got a lovely table by the window. The food was OK - the haggis fritters were delicious. I had a cheeseburger and it was standard with very little cheese on it. My husband had fish and chips and he said it was nice, but both his and my chips were not fresh. We had apple pie and ice cream to finish. The ice cream was lovely. The service was good - the waitress who served us was lovely and happy to help. Our experience today wouldn't stop us going back and i'd recommend it if I was in Blackness again.

The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. Amazing quaint little restaurant. We'll definitely be back ❤️

Great lunch there with the family today. It was really busy but we got a seat. Server said there might be a wait due to how busy it was but our food came out pretty quick. The restaurant itself is really cosy with a million things on the walls and ceilings to keep little ones from getting bored. Food was lovely. My wife wasn’t hugely impressed by the halloumi burger but the kids grub and my lobster were excellent. The lobster was the most delicious I’ve had in a while. We’ll be back for sure!

Great place for a nice intimate meal. The atmosphere is very nice as the music and the decorations are well selected. The food is well prepared and the plates are of a good size. Their homemade coleslaw, is definitely one of the best I've had!The drinks selection is very good as well! The pub is in the main square and there are parking spaces in front of it.Quirk: the corner shop within the pub is fantastic. Also, if you want to bring your dog, this pub is pet friendly.

A welcoming small place with staff who are both helpful and polite. The food was all great and the portions were large enough so I didn't need a pudding, great and interesting interior decor make this a worth while visit. I nice mix of young people, families and older patrons. Staff very quick and helpful so I can't fault anything here. Would come back cheers.

We adore this place, the food is truly wonderful and the staff can't do enough for you. I just wish we lived closer as we had to cycle from South Queensferry but it gives us an excuse to get out on the bikes.
