The Westford Inn in Eilean Siar

Delicious food, really nice pub. We shared a Breaded brie and chutney to start - good sized portion. My wife had roast beef - delicious. I had scallops and black pudding with pork belly - also excellent. Staff were very friendly, and well-behaved dogs are allowed in the bar

Lovely traditional pub with great seafood

Forgot to leave a review two years ago when we visited theWestford Inn, but never to late I guess. We rented a small (very) self catering cottage in the back garden and had our evening meals at the pub.Fantastic food, best we had at the Hebrides, and very friendly staff and landlady. Hope to be back!

We booked for the restaurant and got sat in the bar next to an open window which was very cold and windy that day. Menu full of seafood, if you don't like that, not much else but chicken. Swimming in liquid and very very acidic, could not even eat it. When asked if anything was wrong said just not to our liking but the staff member pushed again when she brought the bill so I said politely this is not ragu and there is far too much balsamic vinegar, it is all I could smell as the plate was set down, turned my stomach. She did not like this, just said it's been our most popular dish, well it would be as not everyone likes seafood and that's pretty much all that's on offer! Would not recommend this place at all.

Thank you Westford for an amazing meal. So nice to be back in our local after so long due to covid. I forgot to take a pic of pudding but it was also top notch 🌟 👍

This place has fantastic food as many reviews also say, however the staff were miserable! We booked for dinner and had the scallops and black pudding for starters, seafood platter and langoustines for main, all of which were delicious. Great beer and cosy little pub, but I do have to say there were 4 waitresses and none of them were welcoming or even sightly friendly. The overwhelming impression was that we were putting them out by being there. I was surprised given the warm hospitality we received elsewhere in the Outer Hebrides. It was such a shame as the food was so fantastic.

Very good. The food was delicious, far more exciting than an average “pub” experience. Do book in advance through high season.

My husband had the fish and chips and I had the burger. Both tasted amazing, my burger was so moist and tasty. My husband's fish was huge, he said it was so tasty. Lovely staff behind the bar very friendly and helpful.

What a gem to Uist, had two days special and really enjoyed it... service was excellent and food absolutely amazing... the building itself felt great and we loved the windows... If we ever come to Uist again, we certainly pop in. Recommend reservation as it got quite busy towards 19.00 - 19.30... yum
