Vatersay Community Hall Cafe in Eilean Siar

Don't forget to put some money in the toilet block honesty box!A lovely cafe that I'm very glad has established its self further since I last visited 6 years ago. Good honest food and great cakes run by and for the community.Don't be a dodger and chuck some extra money in the box!

Great place to stop have a soya latte and the the toilets and showers that are inplace are exellent and spotless

Was a little disappointed as we were told by the staff they would be open till 15.00, we arrived at 14.25 and were told they were closing at 14.30 and could only off a sandwich.Staff were friendly.However, the community do offer free toilets and metered showers. Found the facilities to be clean. Thanks

Great community facility with cafe, WC and showers. It has designated spots for overnight camping and a £10 honestly box. However a local man told me lots of people stay and don't pay- come on people its £10, pay up!!! Vatersay has the most stunning beaches I've ever visited.

A brilliant community enterprise next to both beaches. A great selection of food and drinks. Also has toilets and showers for anyone camping with an honesty box outside

Beautiful place to stay the night ... £10 to enjoy spacious, clean showers and toilet whilst supporting the community is a no brainer. We weren't around to enjoy the cafe ... But we'll be fixing that before we leave.

Great that they provide basic facilities (toilet, shower and sink) for those camping nearby. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly locally who was very helpful and advised us where was best to camp. Facilities were cleaned daily and were will kept. There is an honesty box for donations that we were more than happy to contribute to. Sadly we left before the cafe opened in the morning.

Not only was the food amazing but the staff were lovely it's all communal. they do not take card payments due to lack of WiFi, the position of it is great there are two beaches within about a 5 minute walk (picture below is the Loch facing beach)I will go back here again.

Great stop off point to get a decent bite to eat, and a drink. Yummy selection of cakes...diet can wait!! 😉....toilet and shower facilities available if Camping overnight nearly. Views are stunning and some great walks for all.

Lovely food, great selection and brilliant portion size. Hall was lovely with indoor seating, I loved the photos and bunting. Toilets were spotlessly clean, information leaflets available inside and outdoor seating also available
