Achiltibuie Piping School Cafe in Highland

After a stunning drive to make it here specially for breakfast it didn’t disappoint. Takeaway only at the moment which is understandable and their Covid safety is top notch. Lovely and friendly lady served and the breakfast roll was perfect to have whilst looking at the views just outside. If you’re in the area, pop in for something and if you’re not, then drive/bike/hike to here, it won’t disappoint.

Just eaten excellent home baked gluten free carrot cake, vegan caramel brownie, best ever fries (they use vegetable oil) & washed down with large teas with soya milk while sitting outside looking over to the Summer Isles - heaven! Felt very lucky to find vegan & gluten free options, and these were delicious. Very friendly and helpful people too. Definitely worth a visit!

This place has it all. Beautiful views, great service and the food is fantastic. Seriously worth a look for a light bite, cake or coffee. They also cater for all food allergies as well.Ps. The vegetarian lasagna is out of this world! Yum.

A living museum. This is what is amazing about this region. In the most remote outpost the villagers run a little restaurant in the old community centre and the flood is very good - especially the home baked cakes. But I loved it for the clear view of the Summer Islands and the local history books and photographs. Nothing twee or fancy but very satisfying.

Great for vegans; 3 different cakes (tried them all, and they were really good!), different plant milks, lovely friendly staff and good value for money. There is vegan cheese available for sandwiches aswell but I didn't have one, I'm all about the sweet stuff!

An essential visit for us every time we stay in Achiltibuie. Nice lunches which cater for a variety of dietary needs, and even nicer home made cakes! If you can, take a look out of the window at the bird feeders. Many different bird breeds can be seen at the feeder. On our latest trip we saw goldfinches, chaffinches for example. Definitely worth a stop off if you're in the area.

Great place for a home made cake, got the Chocolate Guinness cake and some fresh coffee. Outstanding. Right on the water.

Nice food and cracking cakes .. lemon and lime cake was tremendous.. staff are very pleasant. location is lovely and theres a walk down to the point.. I even caught a fish..

It sets a gold-standard for a family-friendly rural cafe - a small well-equipped play-area, great child-friendly toilet facilities and a sensible kids' menu. The food was delicious, with most things having a gluten-free option, and the views were stunning. Reasonable prices and very friendly staff. A gem of a place, and many other establishments could learn from it.
