Achness Hotel Restaurant in Highland

We stopped here whilst passing and we’re glad we did. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was great. We would highly recommend calling in.

Came in for lunch after a walk. Good cask ale. Excellent food and service. Great find.

This hotel is in a fantastic location off the beaten path in a stunning area. There are loads of trails for dog walking or taking the kids out on their bikes. The food is excellent and the welcome from the staff is second to none.

A lovely pub with an open fire and it's own lager and great chips. Dog friendly with lovely walks nearby, especially along the river to the waterfalls. Highly recommended.

Loved this place, the weather was foul but the welcome was warm. Good food for mains, desserts great. Make sure you leave room....

Food and service were extremely good. We booked to be sure of a seating. Beer was very nice and food came promptly. The hotel was very clean and a bit oldy worldy although we didn't stay as guests so can't comment on rooms. All in all very nice location and would certainly recommend. Only 4 star's given by the menu being very limited and only slightly pricey.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices, really good beer and atmosphere. Staff really lovely people. Great local walks and plenty to do.

Fraser and his lovely team made our stay so warm and welcoming. Highest quality food and breakfast. Warm comfortable and relaxed. My friend and I were cycling ‘An Turas Mor’ off road. Achness was an oasis and recharged our spirits. Highly recommend X

Had a meal here a few years ago when up on our annual trip to Embo. The food staff and locals were amazing. This time a little early fir dinner but we had a drink and snack and fantastic chat with Heather who made us extremely welcome. So glad to see these businesses who have suffered through the pandemic still alive and rearing to go. We will be back next year for dinner.

We stopped off at this hotel on a hot afternoon as part of the GB divide cycle trail. We received a warm welcome and a very helpful female staff member sorted us out with cold drinks, snacks and much needed ice cream. She also kindly filled our water bottles and was happy to charge our GPS device. Would highly recommend any cyclists to stop at/detour to this place. The beer garden is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. Thanks!
