alexander's restaurant in Highland

Stayed in the alexander for the week it was absolutely fantastic staff very pleasant rooms lovely .. the food was fantastic the portions were really to big next time will have to ask for smaller plates the entertainment for two nights was good .. Will be going back Carol Frank mccarron

2nd time we have stayed here and unfortunately on both occasions the lift broke . Not ideal when both times we were there for procedures at the local hospital but staff were very helpful. Beds were very comfortable. Common areas a but cold. Restaurant food was excellent and great selection at bfst . All in all a good stay and would certainly return

The hotel was great, rooms were cosy, food and service personalised and lovely. Everything was exceptional. Staff in particular for recommend was Andrew for his witty banter at dinner and Celeste for organising the whole weekend for us. Highly recommend.

Staying here is a pleasure. The rooms are lovely, plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the rooms to make a drink. The meals are beautiful and plenty. The staff are very nice and helpful. Myself and my son would stay here again. I prefer this hotel to the hilton we stayed in. The views are nicer here too. Absolutely love this hotel. Well done to the staff and owners.

We stayed 1 night. Staff lovely. Unfortunately our shower wasn't working, we were offered a different room, but we already settled into our room. We were allowed to shower in a different room and keep our original room. Had 3 twin beds, one sheet had a suspicious stain at the foot of the bed (noted the morning of checking out) otherwise room was clean. Basic amenities available kettle, hair dryer etc. Breakfast was nice, not a great variety but had the basics. Nothing amazing, again staff not to be faulted. Unlikely to return but if on a budget decent option.

We had a good stay, room was nice, spacious and warm. Beds comfortable. Bathroom was adequate - water could have been hotter for baths, and shaver plug didn’t work. Staff were great. We ate at the Bistro 1 night and that was OK. We had Room Service on our 2nd night, and that was excellent. We chose to have breakfast in town as we thought £10.95 was too expensive.

Lovely hotel as part of a long weekend away in this excellent part of scotland. Room had walk in shower as requested, Breakfast was excellent 10 out of 10, dinner was 3 course set menu with a good selection. Excellent bar various drinks again 10 out of 10.

The hotel is old but comfortable. The staff were all good. When the hot water was broken we had no heating so they gave us a fan heater and a discount. The food was OK but not special as we had to eat in the bistro and it felt like a fast food restaurant. Had to wear face masks all the time except for eating and drinking. Good place for town and to go on Jacobian train.

Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were happy to organise storage of mountain bikes if needed.The hotel room was well presented and clean, breakfast included all parts to be a full Scottish breakfast.

Nice place to stay breakfast was okay plenty of toast and coffee. Didn't do cooked breakfast but sure it looked okay. Had dinner first class meal. Would recommend for dinner.
