Aros in Highland

Really disappointing. We had visions of a lovely cultural centre but it is like a slightly manky roadside cafe with a not too clean softplay. Feels especially icky in covid times.

The place has a good and large cinema with good sound and a large screen there’s also a soft play centre which is very fun there’s also a restaurant that has nice food and there’s a mini supermarketand more and the place is covid free

Just about perfect for watching a movie. Great screen and sound, loads of room and really friendly staff to help on arrival. The seats were large enough but not quite as comfortable as some of the larger cinemas now have, but I will no let that put me off at all. Cafe and shop are also well stocked.

First time at the cinema and hopefully not our last. Comfortable seating although the rows are a bit close together. Social distancing means limited numbers so book if it's a wet day.

Lovely little cafe/shop with great views. Sadly the food and staff let the place down. Very sticky tables and genrally dirty regardless of being very quite. Breakfast was below average, cheap bacon and no haggis as standard on a Scottish breakfast. After asking for the table to be wiped the stsff became abrupt and offended. Also very weak coffee. If your desperate for the loo and like nice views maybe worth a stop if not head round the corner to Portree.

A useful place for a rainy day, Skye Story is an interesting presentation.

While returning from Isle of Skye in Scotland, we accidentally discovered this place. Some places leave a mark on you forever and this was one of them. They have a small but amazing cafe here and it does cater to vegetarians. The food was amazing and affordable. There is a shop from where you can buy beautiful kilt, souvenirs and lot of attractive gifts. The place has good chocolates as well. They have some great famous scotland style checks clothes to choose from. Its a fantastic stop for a short break of you are exploring Scotland by driving in the rented car. Refresh and replenish yourself by taking a short break here. Highly recommended and loved..

Aros, meaning "Home", is a place every visitor to the island should go to. Friendly staff, brilliant disabled access (the doors are extra wide which is brilliant and rare!), a large gift and book shop and food and drink available make this an essential stop.In addition to the above, there are numerous events throughout the year from live music to films shown in the theatre. This includes "Skyestory", a 2019 production being shown throughout the summer (and probably beyond!) telling the history of this beautiful Isle with loads of interesting facts and some amazing music included. I seriously recommend you go and see it - we've been coming here for years and found out loads of new information from the film.

We love this venue for shows etc and really want to support this place but really don’t bother eating here. Just tried the “special” quiche and salad... very tiny bit of actually inedible quiche... dry, ghastly texture and the most dreadful after taste. When we mentioned it we were fully charged anyway and told they would “ look into it” so sad that some of the food in this great community resource is so poor .
