Excellent service - fast and cheery. Menu is limited, but who cares - the food is great, there’s nowhere else to eat on Luing and the scenery’s marvellous. I see that opening hours have been significantly reduced due to staff shortages. Would be a real shame if this place closed - it a hidden gem

This place is very clean and tidy. Really nice and good food. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for something at lunch time they can enjoy.

We visit the Oban area virtually every year so we have done most of the usual tourist traps. This year we decided to try something new and took the short ferry ride over and visit this little visitor centre. The welcome was the warmest we had ever had and although the cafe was having a locals get together we were invited in to join them. Soup and sandwiches and cakes with a cup of tea. The cost well you simply made a contribution. It was up to you how much you paid. Awesome. We will definitely come here again.

Lovely place to stop for food, drinks and info on the islands as well as gifts. Lovely friendly staff and the food was delicious. Great views of the surrounding islands

We had the best steak with squat lobster sauce here! Set menu, no hassle, great cooking. A real treat on a touring holiday where the weather never let us down. Luing is beautiful.

The food is as great as the views from this superb centre on the Island of Luing on Argyll’s Atlantic coast. Not a big menu but freshly prepared meals and tasty baking served by friendly staff who are keen to tell you about the islands and things to do. Not pricy either. And you have the information centre which tells you about the history of this slate island.

The staff and food were both exceptional. Friendly, helpful and accommodating and all with good humour and a smile. The museum and shop parts were small but interesting but as a resource it makes visiting Luing and Cullipool all the better. Fantastic.

Lovely place, dog friendly. Amazing home made cakes. Only a shame they stop serving “proper” food earlier than we got there!

Fascinating place to find out more about the history of Luing and the other slate islands. Good food and breathtaking views too, so well worth a visit.
